I normally use the Amsterdam Hotel but unfortunately due to the lack of availability I had to stay at the Dastan.||Upon checking in I was not informed of the WiFi or breakfast arrangement which you would think is normal practice, but to find that this information was not even available in the room was very frustrating as I had to call back to reception to get such basic information.||To make things even worse, after 19 hours of travel there was no room service or the ability to get anything to eat or get a beer. Read moreThe Dastan Hotel in Aktobe was a stop for us for a night last week and it was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were quiet, clean and definitely in our budget, wifi worked well and the breakfast that was included was very good. If you are a non-smoker make sure you request/pay for the non-smoking rooms, we visited a friend in one of the smoking rooms and there is a huge coughing difference, probably okay for a night if you must but glad we had the non-smoking rooms. The room was large enough to be in 3 parts, with a seating area with TV, a bedroom area and a large bathroom.||Very clean room with a comfortable bed, and the room was of a decent temperature.||||Gowever, I did not get much sleep because of the noise of other guests.
