Hotel Kazakhfilm — Hotel in Almaty

With my colleague we had to stay for two nights in this hotel. First, landline number was not responding, i just reached a lady at the front desk by a cell phone number they provide. When we arrived it was a bit shocky to see the dirty carpets in the room, which seems to me a norm now after three week stay in Kazakhstan for the hotel rooms ~50 Euro/ night. We came in the beginning of November and the central heating was not functioning at the second floor. I had a very not pleasant discussion with the girl in the front desk and later with the cleaning lady, once i asked to give an electric heater. Simply, i received the response, it is not their business, and they do not care (discussion was in Russian). The bed sheets were cold and wet, it seems to me a bathroom fan is not functioning, so humidity accumulates in the room. Since we had an appointment next morning nearby this place and just arrived to the town we decided to stay just for the night. There have been a lot of screams over the corridor, it looks like it is popular place to bring someone to get layed for one night stand, I mean prostitutes, however it is not my business, but certain screams and conversations made me feeling it is a dirty bordelle rather a hotel. The hotel didn't have any breakfast, nor a place to eat and there are no proper cafeterias around. It is quite far away from the city center. And pictures at the web-page are misleading, rooms are dirty with stains and terrible smell. Staff is not professional at all. Next morning we left this place to a better hotel...

Holy garbage. Do NOT go to this hotel on ANY circumstances. If I could give this place a negative review, I would. The air conditioning doesn't work at all, The mattress for the bed feel rock hard and pillows are like a balloon with a big hole in it, The power outlets barely even work, no blankets for extra softness, the bathtub has a GOD DAMN HOLE IN IT. Don't even get me started on the tap. When I try to lower the temperature of the water so I don't melt my face and put it on the coldest setting, it just got 10 times hotter. Only good thing is that they have WiFi (I didn't even use it because it's probably complete slop) and the mega mall is just a 10 minute drive away so you can escape from this...

Its a 2 star hotel so nothing much to say. The building is dated, as expected. Rooms werent cleaned during our stay. Bed mattress has completed its life but still hasnt been changed.
