Yes, do stay at this hotel.... If you don't mind: shear darkness in all hallways and often in the lobby for energy saving purposes, The place is overheated in winter, but it took 5 times to ask before they released the air-conditioner remote control to make the conference room more comfortable than sauna... They all pretended the remote cannot be found, until management allowed to give it to us... ||||Stay there, if you don't mind un-disinfected bathroom at check-in (when you ask to have it cleaned, a surprised woman comes with a dry big dirty cloth [so dirty, it no longer bends] and wipes off the previous guest's hair off the toilet, considering the work done!).||||Or if you don't mind putting up the "do not disturb" sign (beware of the filthy cleaner after you've used your own antibacterial wipes to be safe of future medical treatment) and find your room "cleaned" afterwards, you should also know the bed-sheets are traditionally shorter than the bed (which is hidden under the pillows assuming you'd not move them to discover the big secret), and trying to avoid the uncovered part of the bed sleeping diagonally won't help, because the bed is so bumpy, you can't find enough flat place to host the FULL you!.... ||||My colleague had to change his room, because there was a bowling alley underneath his room, and he could hear the balls rolling. They gave him another room key to move, he tried to open the door, and there was somebody living in that room already... anyway, the awkwardness of service at that hotel is remarkable. And the staff is notably relaxed about all the glitches. ||||BUT there is a positive thing at the hotel -- Generally, the 2-nd floor cafe serving breakfast and event refreshments is the one bright spot in the whole hotel - personnel here is remarkably pleasant, nice and friendly! Coffee at breakfast was really good though. Thanks for making the stay at Dostar...
Read moreA strange hotel. Firstly its very dark inside at night. Energy saving lamps everywhere, which is fine, but even these are turned off in many public areas resulting in poor first impressions - not being able to see to unlock your room door for example or sitting in a sofa in total darkness whilst you try to get a decent wifi signal. Wifi is free which is also good. Be careful which side of the hotel you are allocated. There is a bowling alley on the Ground floor which can be noisy until well after midnight. Rooms are decorated in a kind of mid 1980's style and fittings feel domestic in nature - not hotel grade. Its like being in your old aunts house except the bed is firmer. restaurant was closed on our visit but bar did bar food from an extensive menu which wasn't great. Breakfasts buffet style and feel bdet. Coffee OK though. Its OK but don't...
Read moreДобрый день.
