Border Palace Hotel — Hotel in Ang'orom ward

Boarder palace hotel is one of the oldest hotel in Busia country that's is still doing well despite the increase of many Hotels with latest designs and interiors in the county. Located along the kisumu highway it's easy for visitors to check in wether from Uganda or from Mombasa , Nairobi or any other root by Road Trip because it's just a few steps to the main gate.

It's a 3star Hotel with best dishes 😋 , pocket friendly prices and also good service from the staffs .boarder palace does outside catering , U don't need to panic if u have a function 😃, wedding ceremony,bussines meetings family get together, and even funeral ⚱️ services, within Busia county and beyond. Many years since I was here , we had Family get together, we eat Mbuzi choma ,Ugali, Fries🍟,some drinks , and Had alot of fun , however I have been to Events that were catered by their outside cataring team recently and their services still the best 👌👌👌. When I say outside catering it covers everything .Tents , chairs , dishes 😋. Etc etc.

Also it offers conferences meeting ,with it's Large accommodating Halls , Families Fun Fair , and live performance for those who loves that. clean restrooms 🚻 and Accessibility ♿ for people with different disabilities available, at the ground floor to it's rooms , not sure about upstairs though. And because of the widespread awareness for accessibility facilities ,will be visiting soon for confirming because this is my home county ☺️😃 and would love to spread awareness. Very disappointing service levels, very poorly maintained facilities. The 'Executive rooms': door locks don't work properly, no hot shower/water past 11pm was told it's closed it will be opened at 5am the following day, toilet was not functional, breakfast was not enough for the entire team as if they had no idea how many guests have checked in had to get it from another hotel, they don't even know what rooms have been booked I was given a room only to find a lady's belongings in the room meaning your property is not safe being left in the room! This facility has been run down and is a pale shadow of its former self. The rooms are not properly ventilated and some basic facilities like switches and showers are not guaranteed to work on demand. The restaurant does not offer quality dishes and the meals are quite expensive! The bar is pretty much dead. The staff know that the hotel is going down the wrong path and their enthusiasm (or lack of it) betrays their frustrations. I wouldn't advice anyone to sleep here. Too pricey for the poor...
