A hidden gem. I stayed here for a week to work remotely and it was the best decision ever. I had the best sleep all throughout my stay because of how quiet and peaceful it was, the gentle tinkling of the glass wind chimes from a distance and scent of clean linen lulling me to sleep. Agnes and her staff were immensely warm and served up delicious food at my request. They also have a great collection of books. If you want to really unwind away from the touristy parts of Watamu, which are only just minutes away, choose this place. The only criticism I had is for the wifi if you are a digital nomad, but mobile data works perfectly. Also, book directly with them for the best deal.

I can recommend this beautiful paradise to everyone. It was the absolute paradise for us at the end of our trip through Kenya. A very familiar and intimate relationship even though we were only there for 5 nights. Granny and her daughter and the staff like Sophie were all very welcoming. The food was fresh and delicious, simply fantastic. The pool, rooms and generally the grounds were constantly clean and well maintained. Actually a 5 star+! We have rarely seen anything so beautiful and warm. Asante Sana!!!

Loved loved our stay here. The host was very welcoming and shared information freely. Everyone we met was very friendly. The rooms are clean, hot water is available for those of us with sinus issues triggered by cold 😁, food is very nice. The pool is clean and open throughout. A true hidden gem. Priced fairly, it’s close to most Watamu attractions. It is really well maintained. I have no complaints. Would definitely stay here again.

My parents and I loved our experience at Echo Villas. Juri and Kylie are wonderful hosts who take their time to engage with their guests, answer millions of questions, have great conversations and consider special wishes (e.g. diet, early coffee before safari trips, airport transport, etc.). They always had an advice where to go and what to do depending on our wishes and we got to see beautiful places in Watamu starting with lovely beaches, local schools, restaurants, or recycling organisations who are active in Watamu. They are very helpful when it comes to organise a safari or assist if your luggage went missing at the airport. We felt very well taken care of and spoiled with delicous - self-made food. Thank you & we are looking forward to our next visit! As this definitely won't...

Juri and Kyle were super kind and responding all our questions in the most effective way. The villas are super spacious, very beautifully designed and the garden, neihgbourhood, the open air lobby are all great! I would stay there again if I were to be back one day.||||Not only the owners, all the staff were so kind, smiling all the time, and helping us with anything we needed.||||It was called Eco Lodge once, now it is Echo Villas; it is more than a "budget" hotel, it offers a really nice stay for guests.||||Do not hesitate because it is not a beachfront hotel, because the motor-ride or tuktuks only take few minutes and very cheap access to many attractions.||||Thank you once again for everything,||Melike & Burc (first guests...

My baby boy and I had and are still having an amazing stay at Echo villa’s (on Booking: Eco Villa’s). The garden is lush with birds and colorful gecko’s (not shy!), the pool is clean and big, there are toys for kids and books for grown ups. The breakfast is good, the restaurant airy and spacious, and for the rooms there is a turndown service included which feels so luxurious. We have a veranda overlooking the garden, with a swinging bed which is ideal for baby afternoon naps. The manager and staff go out of their way to help with anything, I myself feel under the weather and they made a special tea for me, and a wonderful babysitter so I can rest. I feel taken care off and enjoy the garden and peace and quiet. It’s all in...
