The hotel itself is not all that bad, the price right however it's a long way from the airport. I had a 18 hour layover in Nairobi and decided to get a place to hang out while I waited. I hired a car and driver to take me to the hotel, on the way the driver warned me about the area so I wasn't about to wander around by my self. I booked online and the check-in was easy and speedy, the place was reasonably clean, but noisy, like a European apartment. The room was as described in the online booking, shower was hot, which was a plus after a long flight and the bed was comfortable. My driver showed up on time to take me back to the airport and due to road construction had to park up the road, he was visibly upset about leaving his car parked up the road but we made it without incident. We put my two bags into the back seat (which, as it turned out was a big mistake) and headed to the airport. On the way, while stuck in traffic, someone started banging on the side of the car, which distracted me long enough for his accomplice to reach into the slightly open window and unlock the back door and steal one of my bags. I nearly gave chase but thought better of it and let it go. We made it to the airport unscathed after that incident and the remainder of the trip was uneventful. So, if you do venture into this area, PUT YOUR BAGS IN THE TRUNK! We were an easy mark and they realized that and made their move which netted them an iPad, iPhone, some headphones and other personal items. I had read the reviews and went there anyway. I should have gone with my gut and sprang for a better place. There is...
