Epashikino Resort and Spa — Hotel in Gilgil ward

After travelling all the way to Elementaita, we had to cancel our plans to stay here and rush to Naivasha to find alternative accommodation. We felt that the photos made the place look much better than it actually was; it was poorly maintained and had that "lodging" feel to it. The staff also came across as a bit cold, and we seemed to be the only guests (which was strange considering that other places on our list were fully booked).

One more thing: the "resort and spa" name is misleading; when we asked about spa facilities such as sauna, et. al, they turned out to be nonexistent.

The main plus for Epashikino is the view: you'll get a great view of Lake Elementaita, so if that's what you're after, then this will be a good...

The hotel was good they had nice rooms and gave us good breakfast

Only downside was that the shower was either extremely hot or extremely cold so it was hard to use

Then a cleaner came and opened our door at 730am when we were still sleeping and she says she thought there was nobody in the room, which was unthinkable ! I suggest installing an inner lock on the door and /or training those workers properly

I was expecting a good view of the lake but there was no view from our room and you could only see a small part of the lake from the reception

The pool was not heated so we couldn’t swim

Had an opportunity to visit the hotel for an night . The location of the hotel is very ideal especially to those planning to do excursions to Lake Naivasha , Lake Elementaita as well as Lake Nakuru this can be done well while checking out with lunch boxes returning in the evening for dinner. No any conservancy fee or park fee while staying here. The food was delicious and keen on balance diet, Rooms were spacious i stayed at the deluxe room, We also have swimming pool .
