Edited: thank you for your response- retracting the comment about cleanliness as I retrieve the correct pictures from other device. All else stands.
This was a last minute reservation for an overnight stopover on our road trip. We found it on Google and loved the pictures. Booking direct through whatsapp was easy and they honored the 10% discount that was available on our preferred online booking site. However, the accommodation packages were not clearly explained to us, and so we stayed on full board even though we were leaving before lunch. The check-in process was painfully slow, yet we were the only guests checking in at that time. We eventually walked to our room, which was at the front of the building with no privacy. The jacuzzi is outside so being a rainy evening, it was a waste!
unfortunately, the room also didn't feel clean- see pics.
While in the shower, the water got cold, so we called guest services and they said they would look into it. About 30 minutes later and without notice, there were workmen all around our room- a serious invasion of privacy! Note, because we loved the all glass "walls" we had our curtains drawn- the workmen might as well have been inside the room! It took them more than an hour to fix whatever the problem was and all the while, it felt and sounded like we were in a construction site. The lack of notification and possibly apology from staff was unprofessional.
We could hear music and TVs from the other rooms too.
Dinner was delicious, served buffet style but the dining room in mosquito infested- wear repellent. Breakfast was to be served from 7am but when we got there at 8.20, they weren't fully ready, it took almost 30min to get coffee and a cup of tea. Also note that check out is shown online as 11am but onsite, they are adamant you checkout by 10.30.
This is a beautiful location with amazing potential, but they need attentiveness to upkeep and the little things that make a stay magical- like privacy, a clean room, quick check-in and a coffee as soon as you get to breakfast. All things that might not matter in a lower tier hotel, but for one priced at round $160 a night, more...

This place just wraps you in comfort, from the calmness, the kindness of the people and not to forget the view of the lake Elementaita from the hotel was just breath taking.
We really loved the infinity- edge design of the pool it was breathtaking. From the pool you could also see lake Elementaita, it felt like the pool was blending with the horizon.
Not to forget Sadi( the swimming pool manager) the guy made our stay so much merrier. Sadi organized fun water games and switched up the music to match our vibe, which really made our experience even more enjoyable.
Check in was flawless and the rooms were breathtaking. The views from the room 🥰🥰🥰
Allow me to give the operations manager ( Justus) His flowers. His kindness and personal touch around the hotel made everything feel at ease. His presence made us feel truly at home, even though we were miles away. I remember his warmly questions and greetings. We really felt safe in the hands of Justus. Keep up Justus💐.

Read moreAh, where do I even begin with Lake Elementaita? This place is fire! I had the best time, and I’m definitely coming back. First of all, the rooms were on point – super clean, comfy, and the views were chef’s kiss! We stayed in a room with a view, and waking up to that sunrise over the lake... yo, it was everything! And the Jacuzzi room? Mad! I spent hours there just chilling – my own private spa. If you love to unwind, trust me, you won't want to leave that tub.
The kids were totally in their element too. They basically lived in the pool and trampoline area the whole time. The pool was perfect, and the trampoline had them bouncing for hours. They had so much fun, I almost didn’t see them unless it was time to eat! And speaking of eating, the food was lit too – everything fresh and tasty.
Now, the staff? Let me tell you, they are just amazing. From the moment we arrived, they gave us that VIP treatment – super friendly, helpful, and always making sure we were comfortable. The whole vibe of the place is super chill, like everyone’s family.
And shout out to the amenities – Netflix was there, so I got to catch up on some shows after a long day of relaxation. It was like being at home, only way fancier. And don’t even get me started on the soldier salute – that was a beautiful touch. It really made me feel like royalty.
Unfortunately, they were fully booked for Christmas (such a bummer!), but I’m definitely coming back for Valentine’s. Can’t wait! Highly recommend Lake Elementaita for anyone looking for a quiet, fun, and luxurious spot to just relax and have a great time. The experience is...
