MAXLAND HOTEL JUJA — Hotel in Juja ward

Before we arrived, we phoned to enquire about the price of a double room, which was supposed to cost 4000 KES. When we arrived and wanted to book a double room for 10 days, the price suddenly more than doubled to 9000 KES. As it was already very late and we were very tired, we took a double room for one night, with the option of another night if the room was suitable. The employee then gave us a room that had long since seen its best days. The bathroom in particular was in need of renovation and very shabby. A/C was also not available, whereupon the hotel brought us a fan where the base was broken off and it was placed on the floor. we decided to leave the hotel after one night, especially as the breakfast was also not convincing and gave us no argument to stay longer. F.O Clement from Front office is unprofessional, and lacks customer decorum and hotel rate info,figures quotes kept changing it tripped us off. So much misinformation,delay tactics and no brief at check-in. Got manual receipt and no ETR receipts, as is expected.

NO DRINKS. We requested The housekeeping supervisor to pass our order to room service,waited two hours and proceeded to bed without the drinks. Food order is slow but well cooked and prepped.

The ambience of Maxland hotel is very cool and also located strategically as it is just along thika super highway and it shares same plot of land with Juja city mall so far any visitors staying over they can get anything from the mall. The swimming pool is quite big and the staff are of great service as they are ever ready to help. Also they have conference hall that cater to business needs if need so that can accommodate both small and large numbers so that's a plus.
