Exotic Guesthouse — Hotel in Kericho County

Rooms and facilities ok||||The waiter is lax( a gentleman), isn’t very avaialbale for service,casual and isn’t self driven.Very slow service||I asked for bacon thinking it was getting prepared.only to follow up and be informed that it is over...again very casually.||||A very rude,disrespectful and disengaged receptionist.Behaves like you are bothering her.I tried to express my displeasure and she walks away twice saying that she is not ready to hear my complaints.ive asked for a managers number but none has been availed by waiter or receptionist.||These guys just don’t care.||||No substantive manager who can hold the staff here to account||||The food is 50/50||||The many greatest disappointment is that I’m here on Sunday,power has gone out and the generator can’t be switched in coz it’s daytime.ice tried to ask them to swirch it on to no avail.Has anyone thought about my convenience...I have paid to get good service and not a cost cutting measure imposed by an entrepreneur who has left his business to the hands of arrogant and disengaged employees.No one cares||||For the avoidance of doubt I’ve been here between 13th sept-16th sept,2019||||I honesty can’t recommend someone here....I have...

Exotic is a place we frequent because of its convenient location along the highway and it’s fairly central between Kisumu-Nakuru. We often use it for meetings. They have a nice large conference room as well as numerous smaller rooms for smaller groups. The hotel is nice but the room I stayed in this year needs some minor maintenance. The wallpaper is peeling in several spots. It has a comfortable king size bed with mosquito nets. A nice bathroom with a heated shower. A desk and small table and chairs. A nice balcony overlooking the tea fields. The restaurant has good food but they are almost always at least a half hour late if you order with a group. The best thing to do is plan on buffet for your group, otherwise they have difficulty getting your groups food in an orderly and timely manner. The chai is delicious. The grounds and setting are very nice and the place would be wonderful if the restaurant would up their service and be more timely and organized. They are also a bit expensive...

We had a business meeting at Exotic again. They have a great variety of conference rooms for anything from a small group to a large one. For lunch we had an excellent buffet again. This is by far the best choice for a group as opposed to ordering individually. They were right on time with lunch which redeemed them in my mind. They have had a chronic problem with timeliness for the chai and meals. In the morning we had arranged for a chai at our arrival at 9:30 am. It was arranged weeks ahead of time but they were still about 40 minutes late. I talked to them and told them that this needs to change because it has happened to us repeatedly or we will find another place to meet. Management please take notice! We use this place a lot and really like it except for the terrible issue with not delivering on time. The delicious lunch was ready on time, so we will see if the change is lasting.
