Galaxy Resort Kitengela — Hotel in Kitengela ward

Located at the outskirts of Kitengela, Galaxy resort is just over a kilometer from Athi River Namanga road.The place is well designed with nice ambience, nice family setup. Facilities are ok. Adult only areas are well differentiated. The swimming pool designed for kids is separated from the area equipped with other kids play equipment making it a little dysfunctional. On the afternoon of Christmas eve, the number of clients were not too many and did not fill the seating capacity provided but I found the service wanting. Cold beer was not available. The food was served inconsistently. Starch came on its own before the meats and vegetables were served so late, we had finished the starch and vegetables. The chicken was served half cooked and we had to send it back to the kitchen. When it came back it was now well cooked and tasty. But the ugali and veges to go with it were now cold. On finishing we could not wash our hands because water had run out all round, including the swimming pool changing rooms. The cost of food is higher than similar places in the area. Cigarettes were available but not matches or ash trays, I had to improvise the use of used cans for ash. I think that service management should be improved drastically. [update] we were able to reach the manager just before we walked out and he was very kind and explained the situation even giving us free food! Kudos to them!!!

Came here with the family to use the pool like we usually do and experienced horrible customer service. The prices almost doubled (300 - 500) over the course of a week. We tried to get a bit more insight on why this was the case from the pool attendant but were very rudely met with “that’s just the price now”. Attempts to talk to a manager were clearly being ignored/blocked. Told to go to reception where there was no one. Then later attendant tellls us “manager is busy you cannot be disturbing him”. This inconsistent pricing has actually happened to us before where one day we paid 400 and the next 300. We also were asked to pay directly to the pool attendant’s MPesa so this all looked a bit dodge and we wanted to clarify with someone in charge. As we were “waiting” for the manager the kids were demanded out of the pool. Definitely lost loyal customers from this so hopefully the management can do something to...

The Galaxy Resort Kitengela is right opposite GMC Place. This place has a very unique and impressive decor right from the gate to the inside of the buildings. The decor has an ancient look and that of antique at the same time potraying copper and brass metels. Since it was our first time in this resort, we were curious in wanting to see what it holds. We managed to tour almost the entire place. The place has a pool which was packed at the time of our arrival. conference room, mini golf fields, a garden sitting area and an indoor restaurant, a bar and children play ground. The place is quiet and has mature trees and plants that cools the heat from the sun in this hot area. Accommodation is also available here. The several entertainments in this place are placed far apart and there is plenty of parking space. Our fish meal was great but the roasted goat meat was not anything like roasted but pan fried.
