Hotel Nomad is the classical depiction of what Nairobi, and in essence Kenyan hotels have been known to be; funky nightclub/lounge, favorable locations, creative interiors, good meals, great ambience and lastly,untrained staff and personnel. I still can't comprehend why a hotel can invest so heavily on infrastructure, beautiful cutlery, state of the art systems and then go a stride backwards by hiring unprofessional waiters and waitresses. It just beats the logic of sense. Read moreThe place is a bit crammed however a typical 'local hangout. There is ready meat to choose from and I must say the food is delicious and fair portions. In addition, they were serving alcohol during COVID as they have rooms.
We ordered dry fry goat meat and it was delicious. Took around 45minutes but was fresh and portions good. The servers wear a mask all the time, are readily available and they have a small louge area

Read moreWhen I used to live in Kitengela 2016/2017 I frequently came to Nomad's for the food. Although it has been quite some years since then I still remember their nyama choma/ chicken choma and the chips masala. I even once asked for a salad and they waiter brought me an absolutely fantastic fresh dish (even though I was never able to tell what it was!). They stuff has always been very friendly as well. Toilets were a different story but can't tell if it is the same situation nowadays.
