Grand Forty Hotel — Hotel in Kobura ward

We were a big group visiting a local village and the hotel staff could not be more accommodating to us. They are currently improving the hotel and grounds and told me they are even adding on a pool in the back (we could see the current construction). Everyone was so kind, the food was good, the rooms were clean, and they provided fans for those of us who asked for our bedrooms. There were mosquito nets for each bed and it was quiet when it was time to sleep. The outdoor area is a lovely spot to have a drink after a long day and they play music as well. They have several seating areas in the outdoor area and two trampolines in the back for a little added fun. This hotel was such a nice stay and a great place to go back to after a long day. Good people. Very friendly. Rooms clean, good bed. Very noisy because they are close to the road. Very hot. No air conditioner. They provide for us a fan. The restaurant is very slow. The food was ok, but you have to wait for more than 1 hour. They have a menu, but the waitress always has to ask the chef if he can cook what you choose. I don't understand why they don't cook 1 meal do it is ready to eat...

Nice stop for a quiet night. food is ok and rooms go for Ker 3,000 without breakfast. Parking is secure and staff are friendly and helpful. WiFi is slow and Safaricom data is also unsteady here. Rooms are awesome and spacious. Toilets are facing the corridor and you might get some foul smells during toilet visits from adjacent rooms. It was a serious design flaw.
