We went here to end our African travels at the beach. This was the such a nice end to our trip! The airport transfers that were arranged before our arrival played out flawlessly. Even with our arriving later to the Mombasa airport due to missing our flight, our driver stayed on standby and was waiting for us when we arrived!||From the moment we arrived to Mwazaro, the staff was top-tier with their attentiveness and hospitality. The manager, Paul, was great. Communication was always clear. Everyone there, from the owner of the establishment, to the manager, to the bartenders, waiters, and guards were so friendly and welcoming! ||We arrived at night so we had no idea what beauty awaited us. When we woke, we could not believe our eyes. The ocean was right in front of us, the property was so beautiful and pristine. And the food was amazing at every meal! We took to tour to the sand bar, the beauty continued! It was a very nice addition to our stay. It was also very calm which we loved. After having traveled for over two weeks, we were looking for a place to wind down. We both said we'd love to come back if we're ever able to travel to Kenya again.||The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is because they were doing construction on the premises while we were there. We live in a very large, constantly growing city. Construction is always going on. Honestly, if I would have known there would be construction going on while we were there, I would have chosen another location. As much as I hear hammers, drills, etc. on a daily bases, I would not have paid to hear that while sunbathing at the beach or while getting a massage. I even stopped my massage, got off the massage table, and turned on some spa music from Spotify (on my phone) to drown out the construction noises. The owner of the resort explained that the construction was suppose to have been completed by June. I could tell she was frustrated that it was still going on while guests were there. And I understand that was completely out of their control. It still would've been nice to receive some type of refund or a complimentary service for the inconvenience.||Other than this con (which was a pretty big one for me), it was an...

Unforgettable Stay at Mwazaro Beach Lodge – A Coastal Paradise! 🌴||From the moment I arrived at Mwazaro Beach Lodge, I knew I was in for something special. At the reception, I was warmly welcomed with genuine smiles and refreshing coconut water — such a thoughtful touch that immediately made me feel at home. The check-in process was smooth and personal, and within minutes I was guided to my room.||The room itself was spacious, airy, and beautifully set up to reflect the coastal charm. Waking up to the sound of the ocean waves and birds chirping was magical. The balcony opened up to stunning views of the ocean and mangroves, making every morning and evening feel like a dream.||Throughout my stay, the staff were simply amazing — attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist without ever being intrusive. Every little detail was taken care of, from housekeeping to meal service, and I truly felt like more than just a guest.||The food deserves a special mention — fresh seafood, delicious Swahili dishes, and a variety of options prepared with so much love and flavor. Dining by the ocean as the sun set over the water was an experience I’ll never forget.||Mwazaro also offers plenty of activities, and I got to enjoy both relaxation and adventure. Long walks on the serene beach, a boat ride through the mangroves, and exploring nearby villages gave me a taste of the unique beauty of the area. For moments of pure peace, just sitting by the water, reading a book, or watching the tides felt incredibly therapeutic.||On departure day, the staff sent me off with the same warmth they welcomed me with, making it difficult to leave. It felt less like checking out of a lodge and more like saying goodbye to family.||✨ Mwazaro Beach Lodge is more than just accommodation — it’s an experience. If you’re looking for a quiet, authentic, and heartwarming coastal escape in Diani, this is the place. I left with beautiful memories and can’t...

This place and the friendly people exceeded my expectations by far. I came to Mwazaro for 2 weeks end of February to do some kitesurfing and to relax. Mosquitos or high temperatures are not a problem. The reliable wind keeps the mosquitos away and ventilates the room. No air conditioning is needed in rooms with Makuti roofing. Breakfast with many different fruits and choice of omelette with a beautiful view is like paradise. I normally was jogging before or I took the kajak or SUP to enjoy the early morning magic. It felt perfectly safe to be on small paths outside the lodge. The strong wind startet every day at about 13am and it was really 100% every day. This gives enough time for kitesurfing. Low tide requires sometimes to walk some 100 meters to a sandbank. Many guests enjoyed the pool instead of kitesurfing. For dinner you have always the choice between three main courses, typically meat, fish and vegetarian. I enjoyed each meal and other guests are also highly praise the food. The rooftop bar is a popular place in the evening to mingle with other guests while playing billard, kicker or sitting on a comfortable couch.

I wish I could give more 5 stars of even 6 stars for Mwazaro. This exceeded every expectation I had of the hotel. It’s exactly as in the pictures and then some, they have different rooms, I stayed in a makuta (the little freestanding bungalow) and I was so connected to the sea, sunrise, the animals around the place and that feels wonderful. the staff & service are amazing, truly great, attentive, kind and go out of their way to make you feel at home, they serve a fantastic breakfast and some really nice food in the evening. They offer some local activities that are a must if you stay here, the village tour and the river tour give you a good sense of the area. Shimoni for snorkeling is close and really beautiful. I was a solo female traveler, stayed for 2 weeks and I felt safe and never alone! So highly recommend if you want some much needed rest and peace & quiet.
