Where to begin. Did a 3 night getaway with the wife and stayed in tent 2. Best view as it overlooks the waterfall. To say that this experience has been worth it is an understatement! Room- Spacious and well appointed. 24/7 hot water on demand and copious numbers of small water bottles around filled and replenished regularly both for drinking and brushing teeth. Bathing products are of a high quality. Nice touch with the bedside sockets with USB Port. Only point of note would be that the front curtains are not blackout, so travellers would be advised to carry an eye mask if they wish to sleep in past sunrise. Service has been incredible. Attention to detail at its finest is the only way to describe our stay here. Jackson and his team here have been extremely accommodating to our needs. Our housekeeper Annie has kept our room spotless, even keeping the heated blankets on whilst we were at dinner so we could climb back into a warm and comfy bed. Food- the highlight of the experience. The F&B team have kept us well fed. Vegetarians can rejoice as the camp hasn’t repeated dishes during my stay here, with all meals exceeding my expectations in flavor, and on the non veg side, the meals have been equally superb (as my wife would attest to) Special mention to the pastry team who made dairy free cookies and pastries for us. For travellers needing a WiFi connection, I have had no issues with WiFi in the rooms or common areas. Game Drives- couldn’t do much because of the rain but our guide Abdul was great and put in an effort to find game for us, despite the terrible rain this time of year. Overall, looking to return soon with the family. Special thanks to the Tambarare team once again for giving us the best experience that we could’ve asked for.

Our family of 6 adults had the most epic experience here in June 2024! World class luxury and safari drives that we will never forget. Our guide, Antony, was experienced, knowledgeable, and very accommodating! We saw so many animals and had the best adventures. Elephants played at a watering hole right outside of the main tent, great food and drinks, so many lions, a stand-off of a pride of lions against a huge pack of hyenas, local songs at dinner (we're still singing over a month later), evenings around the campfire learning about local cultures... I just can't say enough about our stay! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, we felt like family. Hats off to Jackson who hand picked an amazing staff. I wish everyone could have this experience, it's worth every penny!

An amazing place to stay! Set in the heart of the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. It really lives up to its name it’s a sanctuary. You’re surrounded by wildlife and the sounds of the bush but you still have luxury accommodation and an extremely friendly and helpful team to look after you. Highly recommend the activities the conservancy run as well especially meeting Baraka The Blind.

We enjoyed our stay in Sanctuary Tambarare on May 15-17 2023. We were warmly welcomed by the entire staff. Jackson, the manager, was very gracious and professional and made us feel at home. He showed us around the property and introduced us to the staff. We were lucky enough to be the only guests during this time so we already had a very unique experience but it was made even better with Jackson and the staff. In addition to Jackson we had the pleasure of meeting Anthony the head guide at Sanctuary and he shared with us his amazing knowledge of the area. We didn't book a game drive since we had a late arrival but Anthony offered to take us on a hike around the Sanctuary property. We can tell he is passionate about his job and we appreciated everything we learned from him. Despite us not booking our game drives through Sanctuary (see below), Jackson was very gracious to us and added the personal touch of sending us with warm bottles and heavy blankets during our early morning game drives. He didn't have to do this because we booked our game drives through Ol Pejeta but this is why Jackson and his staff are amazing.

During meal times, we enjoyed our time with the staff mainly George (the chef) and the wait staff ( Alfred and Joshua). They were very attentive to us without being intrusive and made us feel at home. The chef was very knowledgeable and cooked the most amazing meals you can imagine. He even accommodated our requests to eat local food and helped us sample traditional Kenyan cuisine. The rooms at Sanctuary are individual standalone luxurious tents and I would say it (being new) is the best place to stay at Ol Pejeta. It may be further from the main gate but I think we were further away from the other vehicles and felt more secluded. The tents were kept very clean thanks to the amazing room staff (Elizabeth, Wyclef, Peter and I am sure many others behind the scenes). Overall this was an amazing experience and I would return. People who I have mentioned above are the face of any operation and Sanctuary should be proud of them. It is because of the amazing staff that made us fell welcome and ensures our return.

I would recommend that guests book game drives directly with Sanctuary. Ol Pejeta is a conservancy area with multiple properties (where you stay and dine) within the conservancy. Both Ol Pejeta and the properties (like Sanctuary) provide game drives. It would have been more flexible to book the game drives directly with your camp so that your camp do not have to coordinate with Ol Pejeta's vehicles. Also Ol Pejeta's vehicles and fully enclosed and Sanctuary have open vehicles which are better for...

Amazing place to experience the best of the wildlife.|We had the pleasure of going “home” to the Sanctuary in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The camp, which is more like a 5 star hotel, is in the heart of the Conservancy which made for easy access to so much wildlife and protected environments. We saw 4 of the big 5 within the first 24 hours! Sofie our driver and guide was just so amazing, personable, knowledgeable and kind and made sure we were positioned for the best photo opportunities along the way.||The entire team were amazing, the service team made our room like home every day, security kept is safe at all times, chef Eric and his team prepared sensational meals, every dish was five-star quality, yet felt like a comforting home-cooked meal and Chef personally greeted us at every meal. ||Eunice the Manager was just amazing greeting us on arrival, departure, every drive and on our return and at ever meals each day. On arrival we were also greeted by a heard of elephants right in front of our tent, safely behind a security fence. It was a magical welcome to the wild.||The entire team was outstanding: Esther, James, Purity, Anne, Joseph, Boniface, Alfred, Joshua, Stephen—each one contributed to making our stay seamless and safe and a heartfelt thank you to everyone behind the scenes.||Tambarare is a a magical all inclusive resort with only 11 suites making it so personal that it feels more like being welcomed into a beautifully run family home. The atmosphere is intimate and relaxed, and every detail is taken care of from gourmet meals and daily laundry service to expertly guided game drives. Ol Pejeta’s commitment to wildlife conservation is inspiring. If you're traveling to Africa, this camp is a must—an experience that blends adventure, comfort, and purpose in the most...
