Read moreThis hotel is a disgrace. First impressions are fooling, red carpet treatment with facecloth and juice on arrival. The rooms however are another story. The room we had was disgraceful. It was beyond repair in many ways, flimsy rattling windows, noisy corridor, dirty floor, mouldy and dirty bathroom with no water pressure, basin that did not drain, toilet that barely flushed, and the shower flooded the entire bathroom floor. No bath mat was provided and I was looked at like I was requesting the impossible when I asked for a bath mat and extra towels to clean up the water. Fortunately the bedding was clean and the mosquito net was functioning to help protect from the mosquitos in the room. As well as that the water pressure was ordinary, and the water from the shower, at best was luke warm. Read moreGood. But could be better. Way better. Information was not provided at reception, e.g mealtimes, how to contact reception, what services are available. The least you can do is to have this info in a pamphlet in every room. It wasn't there. Attention should be given to aesthetics. A flowery green sofa in the midst of Orange interior is a no no. Not to mention a pink bathroom. The decor at the dining area needs refurbishment. Get rid of that wooden cubicle in the corner. It's an eyesore. Get modern equipment for making eggs. The corridor floor to the rooms need a makeover. Service needs to be expedited with basic courtesy words such as,..."please, may I, thank you, you're welcome, I'm sorry" are rare. Have info available of things to do while staying at the hotel. Have an arrangement with KWS for hikes in kakamega forest for guests, trips to the crying stone, golf etc. Have a card designed for golfers staying at the hotel wishing to play golf so that the manager doesn't always have to write a letter to the...
