Ol Eburru cottage — Hotel in Maiella ward

Loved this place! We did not stay in the cottage, but across the street in more affordable, smaller rooms. It was such a lovely and peaceful area with breathtaking views. Martin and Eunice are very welcoming and capable caretakers. We planned our trip very last minute and they were very accommodating.

I will say, the place is much further away than expected (about 1hr to 1.5hrs away from naivasha town). If you plan to see any classic Naivasha sights (longonot, lake naivasha, hell’s gate) be sure to do it before arriving to Eburru cottage, as it is a long and difficult drive up and down the mountain due of road conditions. Because it’s fairly remote, it’s also a good idea to bring your own groceries from town and either request a chef or plan to cook for yourselves.

Otherwise, would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful mountain retreat. They seem to have a lot of new construction and developments, so I’m excited to see what the place is like in...

The last part of the trip up to the cottage is through rural areas which is a part of its charm. The house is spaceous and has more than you need ;-) Everything in high quality. One bath room is even with a glass ceiling. Situated with the most spectacular view that invites to a good two-three hour trekking into the crater. Terrasse with at big bonfire makes the day/evening longer...Highly...

Beyond 5 🌟 I have stayed at dozen of cottages but this was on top of the list of the best stays/experiences ever. Everything exceeds ones wildest dream of a cottage, from the views ,services and cleanliness, This is the perfect spot fot those wishing for peace and serenity away from home.
