There really is very little if any choice of decent hotels in this area. The garden is lovely and peaceful despite being on a main road. ||Hotel and rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Sheets, towels etc changed daily.||Food menu is limited for Brits, but the staff really will do everything to accommodate you.||Furniture and decor are a little faded, but to be expected, given the challenges of running this size of hotel in this vicinity. ||Staff and the delightful owners more than make up for that. Read moreTake it easy while in Malaba by relaxing at the Levantes hotel. It's well relaxing from the bustling Malaba town. While waiting for our lunch, we did some birding in the compound where a couple of the very tame African Pied Wagtails kept Taya, our daughter very engaged and the restless Blue Flycatcher was playing very hard to enjoy watching. The friendliness of the staff really shines and the food is very delicious. Read moreWe stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. In Kenya you can ask to see the room before accepting it. We found that there was no running water available and so could negotiate on the room rates. WE were given a deluxe room. IT was clean and spacious. IT had a quen size bed, TV, mosquito nets, bath room with sit on toilet and basin for bathing. THe staff brought you warm water for bathing and flushing the toilet. You need to ask for bottled water. THe compound has 24 hour security. The hotel has a resturaunt. We didn't have food.
