There are many camps in the Maasi Mara, but probably very few are like this one! The owner, Jonathan, is a true Maasi and he is personally involved in every aspect of running the camp. His objective with his guests is to provide them a game viewing experience based on exactly what they want to see. Unlike many other camps that have set game viewing schedules, Jonathan takes his guests on game drives based on their desires. For example, this could mean very early morning game drives based on the best viewing times and locations where specific animals might be found. Unlike the game drives we experienced in the Tanzanian Serengeti, Jonathan is able to take his guests totally "off road" away from established vehicle trails. What does this mean? A very close viewing experience of animals that might otherwise only be seen from a distance.||Everything about this camp is unique. The Maasi staff is very friendly and try hard to please their guests. The camp chef, Felix, prepared absolutely wonderful meals for us and he also doubled as a local guide through the Maasi village located a short distance from camp. We went on walk from camp came across elephants they look really big when you are foot and the view from the top of the hill well what can say but awesome.The knowledge that Jonathon has is incredible and he is only the second Masai to own a camp .This was our first time to Africa and we had a ball Phil organised everything for us over the net it was so easy thank you .Simon the chef cooks some fantastic meals all the guys where great we all thinking of when we can go back as 3 days is not long enough that is for sure personally I would do 5 or 6 days next time as there is just so much to see till we meet again thank you so much to the Masai...
