I am really disappointed with the experience i had in this Sentrim hotel, i get they are not a 5 star experience hotel but it has a fair standard with branches across the country so there is an expectation. In my experience, all departments and their staff seemed untrained in customer service. There is usually that 1 bad fruit in every basket that ruins your experience, but when it runs through all departments, you know their is a problem. This is the one place where there were customers service is the opposite...at least 2 good fruits and 1 fairly decent one😒
Sentrim, if you take reviews seriously, please train your waiters on mannerisms. Reteach waiters and reception to do their job; serve and keep account of reservations respectively.
Food was fairly good but the number of egg shells i found in the scrambled eggs and cakes, mind you I stayed for several nights (so it's not a one meal incident). Additionally the cakes were dry and some were just mediocre, the pastry chef needs to relearn how to bake or i advice you get a better trained pastry chef.
The whole place just buffled me, I get when it's 1 or 2 people...1 department not amusing but you can brush it off but when it is all departments, management please note there is something very wrong with that picture. Just because the place may not have a lot of competition or you think the brand will do all the work of reeling in guests that is a very bad mentality, the staffers need to work to build the brand too you need to feed of each others energy to better the place.
Don't be surprised if you experience racism...
I really regret not having pre-booked my stay at other hotels because i would have been in another hotel, i should have smelled a rat when all lodges and hotels were fully booked turning me away and this place was almost empty but lesson learnt, i hope other people intending to go there can learn from my experience.
The place is really beautiful and serene, decent clean rooms with hot water, clean compound it deserves...
Read moreDuring my stay at the resort between December 24th and 25th, I unfortunately experienced an incident of theft that significantly marred the entire experience. My money, kept inside my jacket, was taken by a hotel staff member. Despite initial assurances from the Security Team and the Manager that the security cameras had not captured anything, I insisted on reviewing the footage. Incredibly, the video clearly showed a staff member taking my jacket, leaving my room, and then returning to put the jacket back in place. The situation became even more disconcerting after reaching out to the hotel Manager which apologized, at the beginning in what seemed to be, honestly for the incident. Subsequently, I filed a report with the on-site police, and the Manager reassured us, urging us not to worry, and assuring that the reimbursement would be processed through the insurance company. He advised us to continue our journey to the subsequent natural reserves. However, in the following days, we were informed that there was insufficient evidence, and communication with the police was challenging, as no one spoke English, and they took notes on their palms during the security footage review. In light of this negative experience, I strongly advise against staying overnight in lodges where it seems that the hotel not only fails to take appropriate action against theft by its own staff but also privately handles the matter with authorities, making the reporting process ineffective and...
