The Oluwa Seun Beach makes a good impression at first glance. However, it was then already with the good impressions. Upon arrival the two staff members were hopelessly overwhelmed with our booking. They said we were a day late, even though the booking made it clear we were there on the right date. Two minutes after our arrival there was a power outage, well that is not uncommon in Mombasa, what was unusual was that the backup generator was broken. The result that we had to use small solar lamps to find our way to our apartment at night. The next shock in the apartments, due to the lack of electricity, there was no water for the toilet and shower, and the air condition was not working. So we had to go to dinner dirty and sweaty. Already at the dinner, which was very tasty, it was teeming with cats in the dining room, which demanded a tribute with loud meowing. The staff tried to scare away the pests but to no avail. This cat concert was repeated the entire night under the bedroom window, so that a restful sleep after the long journey was out of the question. My fellow travelers were visibly disappointed and overtired the next morning and said they wanted to change hotels. What should also be mentioned is the apartment equipment in the shower, toilet and kitchen is very old, strong signs of rust on the fittings in the showers, loose unsecured electrical connections, hardly any equipment in the kitchen such as plates, cups and pots. The fact that we were billed for the early change of the hotel for this night of horror on the next day is the crowning glory. As we found out, we weren't the only travelers who left the hotel early the next morning because of the conditions. My rating, the employees were friendly, the kitchen was good, the hotel and communication with the management were bad. All in all not...

We stayed here 3nights and 4 days. Its a Beachfront resort with very beautiful environment and quiet serenity.id reccomend especially for someone who loves peace and privacy. Staff is okay especially Kevin. He was so reliable and made our stay comfortable, always concerned of our safety whenever we're out, and available for customers needs. Receptionist lady is very kind and professional. Loved the clean environment and serene views.Good security 👌 (Guards are so friendly, professional and helpful) Kitchen needs to do better , the chef and services is a no .We didn't enjoy that. The lady chef was gloomy and made us feel like we're disturbing. You can improvise on hot showers for clients with chest problems especially during the cold season. House keeping! Maybe the lady can improve on her customer service towards clients. She seemed gloomy and acted like someone who's not happy with her job. Housekeeping should ask before clearing customers snacks or items in general. I'm assuming The last 2 ladies who came to clean wearing brown uniforms are not honest. When I got to nairobi and inspected my bag , I noticed a thousand ksh out of 4k cash was missing from my suitcase.Thats after they cleaned a day to our check out . I had an awsome experience but that made me a bit dissapointed. They should...

An Amazing Family Getaway by the Beach!

I recently stayed at Oluwaseun Beach Cottages in Mtwapa with my wife and daughter for 3 nights and 4 days, and it was a truly incredible experience. The location is perfect — right on the beachfront, offering beautiful views and a refreshing ocean breeze throughout the day.

The cottages are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a very comfortable stay for our family. We were especially impressed by the peaceful ambience and the overall atmosphere of the place — it’s calm, relaxing, and ideal for a family getaway.

The service was excellent, with friendly staff who were always ready to help and made us feel at home. From the moment we arrived to the day we checked out, everything went smoothly.

This is definitely a place I’d recommend to families or anyone looking to unwind by the coast. We’ll absolutely be...

My family stayed at Oluwa Seun Beach Cottages over Christmas and it was absolutely worth every single dime. From the fully equipped self contained rooms/houses to the 5star ambience of the place, to the breathtaking beach breeze and view…we simply loved it! I highly recommend it to anyone planning to visit Mtwapa- To save on some coins, consider buying own foodstuff and cooking in the fully stocked kitchens. At a small fee you can even get a chef to cook for you 😉
