I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Flogarden Resort, and it truly exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The room service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring my comfort and promptly attending to any requests. The culinary experience was a highlight, offering a diverse menu of exquisite dishes that satisfied even the most discerning palate.
The resort's commitment to providing a delightful ambiance was evident in the carefully curated music selection, creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the property. From soothing tunes by the pool to lively beats at the on-site restaurant, the musical backdrop added a perfect touch to the overall experience.
What sets Flogarden Resort apart is their attention to detail. The amenities and activities provided were diverse, catering to a range of interests. Whether it was the well-maintained pool, the fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, or the various recreational options, there was always something to do.
The staff's "Susan"warm hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile left a lasting impression. Every interaction, from check-in to departure, was marked by professionalism and genuine friendliness. Read moreNice place but the service was terrible. They are understaffed, the waiters/waitress lacked experience and were seemingly overwhelmed. The food took ages to arrive and the items ordered were served at different times. Waitresses serve different tables at the same time and don't have the time to take or ask for another order. They deliver food and wisk to another table. No serving ni wewe ujipange. Worst of all they do not come to clear the table. We sat there with our messy table for 1 and a half hours until our next order was dropped. A fast food restaurant has better service.
This is a common mistake made by businesses which venture into the hospitality industry but fail to hire people who have studied hospitality.
The furniture does not do justice either to the ambience. The tables and plastic chairs are more befitting of a local pub somewhere in Kinangop. Construction site plywood waste boards should be used to make tables. We asked for a table cloth to cover the eyesore but we were told those are only reserved for people holding events. Ma ya ngai gitambaya ni kitu ya kunyima mtu?
My rant aside, I believe the place has potential with the right management. The location is great and has a vibrant atmosphere. Kids also seem to have a lot of fun.
This place is nice for unwinding or family hangouts but definitely not for...
Read moreGreat location, horrible service! Visited the place with my family. The location has good views of the dam. On the flip side: Their mbuzi choma is harder than the economy of Kenya. We sent it back to the kitchen for more cooking but not much improvement. We decided to carry it home to recook it. Then they have the most ridiculous billing system. A kilo of mbuzi is 1,200 and half a kilo is 700. But when you order 1.5kg at once they bill separately (1,200 + 700). Check your bill keenly before paying. Service is sloooow! Our waitress would disappear for over 30mins at a time, seemed distant and disconnected, at some point dropped a bottle (from the tray) on our toddler's head, kept forgetting what we've ordered, would say certain drinks weren't available, I'd walk to the barman and find out that they are available. Music was meh! DJ seemed more inclined to entertain himself than guests. Only entertainment for kids is the pool and a bouncing castle.
All in all, people would just finish eating (if they could chew through that rubber of meat) and...
