Very disappointed. We stayed one night in the hotel during our safari trip. The receptionists was quite unpleasant, no welcoming smile or positive approach towards the client. At the time we didn't know that the hotel is run by Muslim and no alkohol is served. The manager called Charles walked us to our room and offered a beer. We ordered 3 beers x 3 dollars each, two for us and one for our guide . Charles promised the he makes sure that the beer will be served cold as well that our guide gets his. He never gave us change, automatically assumed that was his tip (even he got on earlier on for showing us the room). When we requested the beer to be served with the dinner he just said it was coming. Well it never arrived. After dinner he took two cans from the package that he kept outside the dinning room and asked us to have it on the roof top. The beer was super warm. We asked again to deliver the 3rd can to our guide's room. We were very shocked when next day our guid told us that never got the beer. My understanding is that the hotel manager Charles is running his own business on a side selling alcohol to tourist. He also is a big fat lier as he charged us for something that was never delivered. If I were an owner of the hotel I would fire this man immediately. Very bad impression. Do...

Nakuru is a 🌄 small town 🎠 and doesn't have many options for the stay as a reason where we stayed was okay. But I will list down certain issue we faced which will help you decide to visit Nakuru on the cost of your comfort,

Situated in a completely Suburb location and if you are visiting Kenya/Africa for the first time initially you might not get a good feeling with the nearby surrounding

The Hotel is a 2 floor high and there are no Elevator to the floors 📍

The Handle of the room was improper and didn't had any lock option to close from inside, except locking with key 🔑

The Cistern of the Toilet was not working 🚽

The Non-veg food 🍗 was limited, so there was a person deployed who use to monitor that you don't take more than one piece of any non veg for the food - Important One

Rest apart it was good and despite all these hardships I found it Okay as on a nature 🌳 and 🦁 adventure trip you should not have much expectations in terms of lavish stay and food as if you truly admire nature it is beautiful and harsh at the...

The staff are nice and kind, but two issues that bother me a bit.

First of all... There is no electric mosquito repellent in the hotel but the mosquito bites becomes a bad thing at night.

Second thing is there were no indication on what kind of food they provide in the restaurant buffet area. The most troubling food item is the sausage, I don’t eat beef or pork, and from the exterior it is hard to tell which kind of meat they serve. The worst thing happened because of this careless matter: one of my family member is vegetarian for all of her life, and she thought the sausage was some kind of carrot based bread and chewed some of it. It was a bad experience for her in the morning. I feel if they can at least put some sign to indicate the sausage, these kind of mistake...

The place was quiet and had an interesting view of the neighborhood, but the location was too far from the lake to provide any nice views (as opposed to how it was advertised on our safari website) and too far from the center of town for us to conveniently run errands we needed to take care of. Wifi was weak, and we had a hard time getting someone to give us the password.

Hotel Citymax, Nakuru. A nice budget hotel, clean and appealing. I was in a double bed room which was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was good too. Wifi was a bit problematic but that's usually the case in Kenya. Overall, a good hotel to stay in. Downers Poor positioning of lights Inadequate water pressure in shower Recommended.

Location and security... Good Rooms... Good with hot water shower, TV, ports for charging, enough light and good ventilation. Staff are welcoming and assist with check in to make everyone feel comfortable and at the right place for a night stay... Thanks to Maina, Mercy, Hope, restaurant team and all other support staff...
