Sarova Woodlands is where Nakuru feels a touch more refined, a touch more polished, and a lot more welcoming. From the moment you step in, youâre met with modern, stylish rooms that whisper comfort and a staff so gracious it feels as though theyâve been waiting just for you. Every detailâwarm smiles, immaculate spaces, thoughtful serviceâreminds you that this isnât just a stay, itâs hospitality at its finest.||Among the many highlights, our gratitude goes to Pascale, our veteran waiter, and his Food & Beverage manager. Their warmth and attentiveness were remarkable, though we did leave them with one unfulfilled wish: breakfast mimosas. Not for lack of trying on their part, but because the hotel doesnât serve champagne or sparkling wine by the glass. For a place that gets so much right, it felt like a missed note.||Hereâs a thought for the future: a âHouse Mimosaâ made with KWAL (Kenya Wine Agencies Limited) sparkling wines and fresh Kenyan orange juice. Itâs local, elegant, and would give guests a reason to linger over breakfast a little longer. Stocking half-bottles of prosecco or even a classic French champagne would add to the charm. At Lantana Galu, mimosas were the morning rhythmâwhy not let Nakuru have the same sparkle?||Classic Mimosa Recipe (per glass):||75ml chilled sparkling wine (KWAL sparkling, prosecco, or champagne)||75ml fresh orange juice (Kenyan oranges are perfect)||Optional: splash of Grand Marnier for a citrus flourish||Sparkling Choices That Shine:||Local pride: KWALâs Kingfisher or Palm Breeze sparkling wines||Italian ease: Crisp proseccoâlight, fruity, brunch-perfect||French luxury: MoĂ«t or Bollinger, for that indulgent touch||But perhaps the most heartwarming moment came when a table nearby celebrated their daughterâs birthday. The hotel staff gathered, sang joyfully, and wished the little angel a wonderful birthday. And as if the smiles werenât enough, slices of the most delicious chocolate cakeâbaked to perfection by the hotelâwere shared with us as well. A sweet, unexpected gesture that turned breakfast into a memory.||Even without mimosas, our stay was exceptionalâdelicious meals, beautiful dĂ©cor, and warm service that keeps Sarova Woodlands close to our hearts. For us, it will always be Nakuruâs go-to stop, whether for a restful stay or simply to savor their wonderful samosas. And weâll return soonâhopefully next time to toast the morning with a...
