'Please step on our beautiful grass' is perhaps the most welcoming statement I have heard in many years. The beautiful well manicured lawns, walkways and pavements separate the state of the art cottages spread out like tiny diamond jewels side by side, stretching all the way down to the river! Each of the 12 cottages has two appointed guest rooms strategically designed to fit your travel requirements. You may decide to stay in an interconnected rooms cottage with your family which are all well lit with large windows and balcony extensions to give natural light....

Nature walks to the river, fishing expedition, game drives to Ol pejeta Conserverncy, Aberdare National park or Mt. Kenya for mountain climbing which are all within a good radius top your to do list whilst staying at Mtoni Resort then back for sundowner...

I rarely write reviews, but my recent experience at Mtoni Resort restaurant was frustrating enough to warrant one. From the moment we arrived, the service staff were unorganized and inattentive. Shockingly, there were no menus available – not printed, not digital, nothing. Instead, the staff simply rattled off a list of dishes verbally, making it hard to remember or understand what was actually available. It felt chaotic and unprofessional.

Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the lack of service. What we were served was completely flat and uninspired. There were no spices, no tomatoes, and the so-called sauce was just bland water strained from boiled meat – absolutely no flavor, no effort, nothing remotely close to a proper sauce.

Overall, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Poor service, unstructured ordering, and food that tasted like it was thrown together without care. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a decent meal.

To potential guests , kindly avoid Mtoni Resort....it's not...
