Hotel Basilea — Hotel in Shimo La Tewa ward

This hotel is unsafe,my colleague's room was broken into while she was asleep there at 2am early morning of July 11th 2018. Her screams are what drove the intruder out of the window of her room on 1st floor through which he had gained entry. It is important to note that the said room faces the front of the hotel where a watchman is supposedly posted throughout the night and any intruder can easily be seen which begs the question,how did the watchman fail to see the intruder? The hotel brushed the whole thing off.I personally witnessed shouts of thief thief and heard the commotion during the said night as my room was on 3rd floor. When I checked out since I had paid in advance they refused to return my money citing hotel policy yet they know their hotel is unsafe and an easy target for thugs. Please Ladies if you value your personal security and security of your family DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL,YOU ARE IN DANGER OF BEING RAPED,ROBBED ABD EVEN WORSE. The staff are also rude and lack basic customer care....

It used to be a nice place but currently the menu is not like how it used to be a lot of signature dishes have been removed from the menu it also doesn't have a section for drinks like before so the waiter/waitress has to tell you which beverage is available and that alone is a cut off for me..the food is quite okay on a scale of 10 i would rate it at 4 because i know java can do better.

But you'll like it though.
