Our recent stay at Entim Camp in the Masai Mara was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into an experience that combined luxury, adventure, and the warmth of exceptional hospitality. We stayed for three nights and four days at this all-inclusive camp, and it truly exceeded every expectation. Our mornings began with the gentle knock on our tent door, signaling the arrival of a piping hot French press full of aromatic coffee, the perfect prelude to our game drives. Each drive was thrilling, and thanks to our incredible guide, Jackie, we managed to see the Big 9—a dream come true for any wildlife enthusiast. Jackie’s knowledge of the flora and fauna, her expertise in navigating the Mara, and her sixth sense for finding elusive animals turned every outing into an unforgettable experience. She deserves her own special mention; her skills ensured that we created memories to last a lifetime. On these drives, Jackie would surprise us with carefully packed breakfasts prepared by the camp chef. Enjoying these gourmet meals amid the wild landscape was surreal and made each morning feel special. Upon returning to camp after the morning drive, we would unwind with a refreshing beer or a glass of wine before indulging in lunch, which was simply divine. Every meal was a culinary masterpiece, reflecting thoughtful preparation and an understanding of flavors. Afternoons were for relaxation, with more coffee and snacks to keep us fueled. We then embarked on another exhilarating game drive, taking in the sights, sounds, and wonders of the Mara as the golden sun dipped toward the horizon. As the day drew to a close, dinner awaited us—another opportunity for the talented chef to showcase his expertise with a beautifully curated meal. One unique and thoughtful touch was the Maasai guard who escorted us to our tent each evening. Given the camp’s unfenced location and the hippos frequently seen in the river nearby, this extra layer of security added to our sense of adventure while providing peace of mind. Entering our tent each night, we found the bed thoughtfully pre-warmed with hot water bags, a simple yet incredibly comforting gesture that made each night feel cozy and serene. The housekeeping staff deserves commendation as well. Their service was flawless, and though they worked tirelessly, their presence was almost invisible, leaving us to enjoy our surroundings without interruption. Every detail was meticulously attended to, from the tidiness of our tent to the small touches that made each day special. Our time at Entim Camp was truly the best experience we could have hoped for. The personalized attention, luxurious touches, and Jackie’s unmatched guiding made this stay unforgettable. We can’t wait to return and experience this little slice of paradise again. If you’re considering a safari experience that combines luxury with authenticity, look no further than Entim Camp—it’s everything and more.

This is for Entim Private which is close to Entim main, but run separately. There are only 8 tents here, only one of which is a “family tent”. The swimming pool and its view are spectacular. The camp offered food and service worthy of any 5 star hotel in the world. Sarah and all of the staff were accommodating and truly anticipated any needs and requests. The bed was extremely comfortable and the tent itself was quite well appointed with a dual vanity and a rain shower head. The staff even laundered clothes for us we didn’t intend for them to do. Everyone was so friendly and polite. Our food presentations were spectacular and the food itself was delicious. The Kenyan coffee done with a French press at breakfast was particularly delicious. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch with our safari guide out on the savannah, prepared by Entim. Our last night we also enjoyed a “sundowner” with snacks and drinks again sent with us from the staff. The view from the dining area was beautiful topped off by campfires in the fire pit area each night. We booked Entim via our Nairobi based safari company (Savannah Woods Safaris). Our private guide from there shared that he feels this is the nicest camp in the Maasai Mara. While I can’t verify this myself I have few doubts that this is accurate. I don’t normally do reviews but we so enjoyed Entim Private that I feel compelled to take the time and effort to tell the world about this truly special place.

This was a fantastic camp and handled everything incredibly professionally. This is a true 5* camp that nailed every aspect of our stay. For us, this qualified as a bucket list experience.

Tents: The tents were immaculately clean where I could comfortably walk around in bare feet, I cannot emphasize how clean this accommodation was. The shower was great and the bed sheets were incredibly soft which is quite a feat in the Mara. Pro tip: use the caribener that comes with the complimentary water bottle to latch the zipper pulls together at all times. There is a ridiculously clever baboon in the area that knows how to open tent zippers, and managed to completely open our tent while we were inside.

Service: The service was top notch with our main server very professional. We had a few mix ups with another fellow who struggled a bit with English, but we found the experience endearing more than anything else.

Food: The food was excellent, something I'd expect from a higher end restaurant, and nicely presented. If I had to make a suggestion, I would have less cream based soups and desserts for people who are lactose intolerant.

Guide: Our guide was Tinga, and though he seemed a bit disinterested at times, we wouldn't have traded him for anyone else. The plains were flooded during our stay but he had no problem getting us around and his driving skills were such that we never got stuck on our game drives (he was usually the one going around rescuing other drivers). He is the only one we would feel confident enough to entrust with our safety, and we knew that we could trust him to get us out of any situation. He also has an eye for photography and will help you get amazing photos

The Maasai Mara is a great choice for people going on their first safari, as well as more seasoned safari goers. The amount of wildlife you will see is absolutely incredible. You will have a great time seeing the big cats, especially lions as there are several large prides in the area.

I'd definitely recommend that everyone make staying at Entim Camp a priority if you're looking to stay in the...

My stay at Entim Camp in the Maasai Mara Park was an extraordinary adventure. The camp's stunning location offers breathtaking views of the Mara River, placing you in the heart of nature's wonders.

What truly made my experience memorable was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. Each member, from the service team to the management, was incredibly welcoming. The guards, who were Maasai, deserve a special mention. Not only were they vigilant in ensuring our safety, but their friendly and humorous nature added a delightful personal touch to our evenings. Being escorted to our tents by them was an experience filled with laughter and interesting stories about the Maasai culture and the surrounding wilderness.

The tents at Entim Camp struck a perfect balance between rustic charm and comfort. Spacious and well-equipped, they offered a serene and luxurious connection with nature. The sounds of the Mara added to the authenticity of the experience.

The dining experience was a highlight too. The food was superb, featuring a variety of delectable options. Meals were prepared with care and served with a professionalism that you’d expect from top-notch dining establishments.

The camp’s location within the Maasai Mara Park offered an unparalleled opportunity to observe the rich wildlife. The proximity to the Mara River meant we were right in the middle of the action, especially during the Great Migration.

Every interaction at Entim Camp felt personal and genuine. The Maasai guards, along with the rest of the staff, made sure our stay was not just comfortable, but also rich in cultural immersion and personal connections.

I wholeheartedly recommend Entim Camp for anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable experience in the Maasai Mara. The combination of its stunning location, exceptional service, and the heartfelt touch of the Maasai staff makes it a truly special destination. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a gateway to a unique and enriching...
