Kambu Mara offers a unique glamping experience that you absolutely shouldn't miss. I had the opportunity to stay here and was completely blown away by everything- from the location to the service. I'm super grateful to Sarah and Nathan who run the camp for this amazing experience!! They're the best hosts!!

Conveniently located near the Masai Mara, the camp provides direct contact with nature, surrounded by open fields where you can even spot zebras roaming freely šŸ¦“The night sky is truly spectacular, I’ve never seen stars and constellations so clearly and beautifully!!

I stayed in the comfort tent, which featured a super king sized bed, a private toilet, and a shower—all super comfortable and clean. This was my first time glamping, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it turned out to be incredibly cozy and well equipped. The camp also has very good internet access (though you might be tempted to disconnect and fully enjoy the environment!).

One of the highlights was the incredible game drive. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and the ecosystem, and made the whole experience so enriching. We even had a picnic right in the middle of the safari, a once in a lifetime moment I’ll never forget!

The catering was another highlight. They have their own chef, and every meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) was fresh, delicious, and well-prepared, with a good variety of dishes and fresh fruits.

The service overall was incredible. Every member of the team was warm, helpful, and genuinely kind. They also offer transportation from Nairobi, which made the journey smooth and stress free.

If you're looking for a mix of nature, comfort, and adventure, Kambu Mara is the place to go. I’m so grateful for this experience—it was truly magical and can't recommend...

Natural luxury with extremely helpful and friendly staff, looks better in person.

What I liked:

Helpful and friendly staff Comfortable bed Great food by chef Nelson, this includes plant-based (vegan) meals such as lentils, pasta, fruits and vegetables, oats. The bonfire place at night, hearing animal sounds from the background while enjoying the warmth and talks with the staff Extremely helpful and friendly guide for the game drive, Allen, who does not see you as customers but as people and goes for extra steps to make sure you are really enjoying the moment, getting you informed and letting you see everything you need and want to see.

What I didnt like: The sign on the road to lead to the camp was very small and on the ground, it needs to be way bigger and ideally with some fluorescent colors so that when you are passing by with a car at night, the sign would shine bright and be easily seen because of the car's lights. There should be another sign at the gate of the camp that shows the camp's name just so you know you are at the right place, feels a bit confusing especially at night and when it's your first time...

This is a magical place, a home away from home, set on the edge of a stunning national park! The camp is run by Sarah and Nathan - a lovely couple that go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. Their friendly dog bounces around joyfully. The tents are the most comfortable I've ever seen, with private bathroom, large beds, fairy lights and mosquito nets. It's also immaculately clean! After a campfire, you go to sleep under the starry skies and then wake up the next morning to stunning views across the park. If you are lucky, wild animals might even come right up to the camp fence. Zebras did on our 2nd morning šŸŒ„šŸ¦“ Food at the camp was delicious and they easily cater for vegetarians. The place is just a short drive from Masai Mara entrance. The day in the park will forever stay in my memory, seeing 8 lions, a cheetah, free roaming heads of elephants, majestic buffalos and giraffes, hippos and so much more!! Having lunch on a blanket among zebras, antelopes, wildabeasts and pumbas and the most perfect sunset were just some of...

Our experience at Kambu Campers was absolutely perfect. Firstly, the tents are spacious, extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Moreover, the toilets, showers (which always have hot water) and the rest of the amenities are new and in great condition. We also appreciated the games available for entertainment (cornhole, badminton, board games…). Secondly, the location is beautiful, it’s an amazing experience to sleep in the middle of the savannah and being able to see and hear the animals walk by. Lastly and most importantly, the people that work there are amazing, Nelson, Nelson, Felix and Dickson made us feel welcome from the first second and took great care of us. The food was delicious and always served fresh, they always had a campfire ready for us after sundown and were always super helpful and a delight to talk to. I would therefore HIGHLY recommend staying at Kambu Campers, it was definitely the highlight of our trip!

The camp is a hidden gem where you can experience the nature and wildlife from inside your tent. The wild animals including zebra, gazelle, giraffes all graze around the camp. The camp is fenced with electric wire so you can be safe, especially at night. The staff at the camp are super friendly and they will do everything to make the stay enjoyable. Every evening, they lit bonfires for the guests where you can warm yourself up in chilly night. The kitchen setup with gas stove, cookware, utensils is also nice as you can prepare your own meal. The hosts are really nice and flexible. They arranged for us the safari to Masai Mara with a Masai. Overall, my children and us had a really wonderful time at the camp. We would come back here again, and definitely recommend to anyone visiting Masai Mara.
