Kambu Mara offers a unique glamping experience that you absolutely shouldn't miss. I had the opportunity to stay here and was completely blown away by everything- from the location to the service. I'm super grateful to Sarah and Nathan who run the camp for this amazing experience!! They're the best hosts!!
Conveniently located near the Masai Mara, the camp provides direct contact with nature, surrounded by open fields where you can even spot zebras roaming freely š¦The night sky is truly spectacular, Iāve never seen stars and constellations so clearly and beautifully!!
I stayed in the comfort tent, which featured a super king sized bed, a private toilet, and a showerāall super comfortable and clean. This was my first time glamping, so I wasnāt sure what to expect, but it turned out to be incredibly cozy and well equipped. The camp also has very good internet access (though you might be tempted to disconnect and fully enjoy the environment!).
One of the highlights was the incredible game drive. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and the ecosystem, and made the whole experience so enriching. We even had a picnic right in the middle of the safari, a once in a lifetime moment Iāll never forget!
The catering was another highlight. They have their own chef, and every meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) was fresh, delicious, and well-prepared, with a good variety of dishes and fresh fruits.
The service overall was incredible. Every member of the team was warm, helpful, and genuinely kind. They also offer transportation from Nairobi, which made the journey smooth and stress free.
If you're looking for a mix of nature, comfort, and adventure, Kambu Mara is the place to go. Iām so grateful for this experienceāit was truly magical and can't recommend...

What I liked:
Helpful and friendly staff Comfortable bed Great food by chef Nelson, this includes plant-based (vegan) meals such as lentils, pasta, fruits and vegetables, oats. The bonfire place at night, hearing animal sounds from the background while enjoying the warmth and talks with the staff Extremely helpful and friendly guide for the game drive, Allen, who does not see you as customers but as people and goes for extra steps to make sure you are really enjoying the moment, getting you informed and letting you see everything you need and want to see.
What I didnt like: The sign on the road to lead to the camp was very small and on the ground, it needs to be way bigger and ideally with some fluorescent colors so that when you are passing by with a car at night, the sign would shine bright and be easily seen because of the car's lights. There should be another sign at the gate of the camp that shows the camp's name just so you know you are at the right place, feels a bit confusing especially at night and when it's your first time...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a magical place, a home away from home, set on the edge of a stunning national park! The camp is run by Sarah and Nathan - a lovely couple that go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. Their friendly dog bounces around joyfully. The tents are the most comfortable I've ever seen, with private bathroom, large beds, fairy lights and mosquito nets. It's also immaculately clean! After a campfire, you go to sleep under the starry skies and then wake up the next morning to stunning views across the park. If you are lucky, wild animals might even come right up to the camp fence. Zebras did on our 2nd morning šš¦ Food at the camp was delicious and they easily cater for vegetarians. The place is just a short drive from Masai Mara entrance. The day in the park will forever stay in my memory, seeing 8 lions, a cheetah, free roaming heads of elephants, majestic buffalos and giraffes, hippos and so much more!! Having lunch on a blanket among zebras, antelopes, wildabeasts and pumbas and the most perfect sunset were just some of...
