We are fortunate enough to have been going on safari in Africa for the last 20 years and have visited many excellent camps. Without a shadow of a doubt this is the happiest camp we have every stayed at. The team are first class and cannot do enough to make the stay perfect. The tents are beautifully designed and spacious and the décor is very well done. Ample hot water in the shower - very much needed after two good game drives each day. The food is very very good although if you’re watching your waistline you could be in a lot of trouble! Last but not least is the game, the primary reason for a safari. Our guide was Bernard who took us on two game drives each day. Absolutely fabulous. Bernard has an encyclopaedic knowledge of pretty much anything and everything you will see on a drive, mammals, birds, insects, reptiles, all the flora and fauna. His eyesight is remarkable and he was able to spot something from many hundreds of yards when I was struggling with binoculars. This meant that the game viewing was spectacular. Seeing 18 different mammal species before a bush breakfast is something to be remembered. Great credit to Minnie and her team for the long hours and hard work that is put into make every guest and every day as near perfect as possible. After 20 years there’s only been one camp we’ve returned to, Kicheche Valley Camp is now the second camp we’d be more than happy to go back to.

This camp is very undestated and gorgeous. Upon arrival it looks like maybe you have booked a camp that is too simple, but very soon you realize what a special place is and how wonderful the staff is. The tents are gorgeous and completely througth out, even with charging bars in all the right places - rare in Kenya. Everyone immediately calls you by first name which is very welcoming. The have fire pits at night for heat and ambiance made from locally sourced materials, no wood or coal, very clean burning. Minnie is the camp manager and has her eye on everything. The safaris with Mika was unbelievable, so much wildlife no matter when. Mika has an absolute eagle eye. He can spot a lion or leopard lying in the grass at least 2 km away. He does take queues from the other animals, but still incredibly observant. We had amazing massages in the spa by Faith. So relaxing. The full cooked breakfast in the bush was delicious. Very deluxe. We look forward to returning again and again as well as trying out the other camps they offer including the bush camping experience. Thanks team!! Amazing!!

It's hard to explain how blown away my husband and I were by our Kicheche experience. I cannot speak enough for the warmth and genuine care we received from Mini and the team, nor the expert skill and knowledge of our guide Mika. The location itself is close to the airstrip allowing a quick transfer from Nairobi. The camp is based within the Naboisho conservancy, meaning no long bumpy drives just to reach the game drive location - within minutes of rolling out of bed you'll be viewing animals. The camp is nestled in valley frequented by zebra, elephants, lions, and even leopards. If you want to see hundreds of wild animals flourishing in the conservancy, if you want to fall asleep to the roar of lions, and wake up to a herd of zebra outside your tent, eat delicious food, and have a team who take care of your every need, look no further, this is the camp for you.

The unique beauty of Kicheche Valley Camp, a place that leaves a lasting impression on everyone who visits, is a paradise for nature lovers. ||||Our experience at Kicheche Valley Camp was a testament to the exceptional service and warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Minnie and her dedicated team. With their genuine care and attention, Nelson, Bernard, Joylene, Hudson, and the entire staff made us feel like part of a community, turning Kicheche into a home away from home.||||The accommodations at Kicheche Valley Camp were nothing short of spectacular! They beautifully combined elegance with cozy comfort, creating a tranquil oasis where we could unwind and soak in the stunning surroundings. Our spacious tent was thoughtfully designed and equipped with all the comforts of home, including a sumptuous bed adorned with plush pillows, a convenient en-suite bathroom, and plenty of storage space for our gear. We appreciated the charging stations, water dispensers, and the charming deck offering breathtaking valley views. Each morning started with delightful coffee and cookies delivered right to our room. We were treated to a lovely turn-down service in the evenings, with hot water bottles tucked into our sheets for extra warmth. What a truly memorable experience!||||One of the most exciting aspects of our stay at Kicheche Valley Camp was the unique dining experience. Each meal was a journey of flavors and creativity, thanks to the chef's skill and his ability to accommodate our dietary requests. Every dining experience was truly memorable, and the desserts were exceptional. I still wish I had some of his recipes!||||Our guide, Mika, was a treasure throughout our incredible four-day adventure! His professionalism and extensive knowledge left a lasting impression. With a deep passion for nature, Mika guided us through breathtaking landscapes, sharing fascinating insights about the unique flora and fauna of the valley. He even took the time to create peaceful moments for us, allowing us to witness a newborn giraffe taking its first steps and positioning us perfectly to catch a glimpse of a young leopard as it emerged from the thicket.||||One of my favorite memories was spending time with the Ilkisiusiu Pride, where over 20 playful cubs joyfully romped around with their family. I learned so much from Mika about wildlife and the best camera settings to capture these moments. He also accompanied us on a visit to a Masai village, enhancing our experience with his focus on connection and storytelling. Mika truly made this adventure unique and unforgettable; I can't recommend him highly enough!||||As we prepared to leave Kicheche Valley camp, I found myself teary-eyed, reflecting on the profound memories we've created here. The heartfelt conversations with Minnie, the magical evening she crafted for us, Nelson's delightful riddles, Bernard's warmth, Joylene's vibrant spirit and enchanting voice, and Mika's radiant smile and laughter will always stay with us. This remarkable place and its incredible people have left a lasting impression...

Kicheche Valley Camp exceeded every expectation and deserves every bit of its stellar reputation. It’s important to note that my review is solely based on the camp itself and the incredible service provided, rather than wildlife sightings, which can naturally vary. From start to finish, this was an impeccable experience, showcasing the very best of what a safari camp can offer.

Minnie and her team run a seamless operation, creating an environment of warmth and efficiency that makes every guest feel welcomed. The attention to detail in every aspect of the camp is remarkable. Housekeeping was outstanding, special thanks to Shelia, whose efforts were nothing short of exceptional. Having stayed in over 40 camps, I can confidently say that this was the best housekeeping I have ever experienced. Every return to the tent was met with spotless surroundings and thoughtful touches that truly elevated the stay.

The culinary experience was another standout aspect. The food was consistently superb - beautifully presented, delicious, and varied. It’s rare to find a camp where the quality of dining matches the luxury of the accommodations, but Kicheche Valley Camp does this effortlessly.

As for the guiding, Mika is in a league of his own. He is not just a guide but a master storyteller, spotter, and tracker all rolled into one. His ability to weave narratives around the wildlife, landscape, and local culture added a unique layer of richness to every drive.

The camp itself is comfortable and brilliantly designed, with beautifully designed tents that blend into the natural surroundings and offering great views of the valley. From the luxurious bedding to the eco-conscious amenities, every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The communal spaces are wonderful with a lovely ambience that encourages relaxation and connection with the surroundings and other guests.

What truly sets Kicheche Valley Camp apart is the genuine hospitality and the sense of family that Minnie and her team cultivate. You are not just a guest here; you are treated like a cherished friend. From the warm greetings after every game drive to the personal touches that make the camp feel like home, it’s clear that every member of the team takes immense pride in what they do.

For anyone seeking a safari where the camp itself is comes close to being the highlight - offering exceptional service, outstanding guiding, and a perfect blend of luxury and authenticity, Kicheche Valley Camp is truly unparalleled. It has set a new standard for me, and I would return in a heartbeat. Thank you to Minnie, Mika, Shelia, and the entire team for an...

We have been planning our Africa trip for over a year, meticulously reading review reviews of all lodging. we came across kicheche Valley, and it looked too good to be true. We decided to try it out anyway. It did not disappoint, and in fact, it exceeded our expectations!||From the moment we arrived, Minnie and her staff all welcomed us warmly, greeting our jeep as we pulled up to the front. They already knew all of our names, using our passport information from ahead of time to memorize faces with names. That small touch meant the world.||From there, it was impeccable service, amazing food, and incredible experiences. Our Safari guides were so knowledgeable. We had Mika and Bernard, and they found us the elusive panther, along with several lions, giraffes, elephants, you name it. our food was world class. We had many vegetarians in our group, and the Chef was able to accommodate us with gourmet selections every single meal. Nelson and Jolene were incredible host and hostesses. So was the other Bernard, our drink maker. One night, they had an incredible Masai dance performance, and they had us all dancing along with them. They really made us feel like family. And finally, the rooms! You really feel like you are one with nature, yet you're living in a lap of luxury. ||We really cannot recommend this place enough. If we ever come back to this part of Africa again, we will be sure to try out the other...
