Unbelievable experience! We have chosen Kobe Mara for our first time in safari. This place was right from my dreams, which came true. Everyone from the team and everything we had there exceeded our expectations. Kobe Mara location is nearby 2 gates to Masai Mara park, but outside of it. Which make it more affordable as you do not need to pay more fees for staying inside the park during night. There are no any fences, so the animals surrounding you, creating really great ambiance and connection with nature. Safety is top here. Guards 24/7 Great food. We had 6 different meals, all of them were amazing. They also followed our dietary requirements. I was shocked how they did all of these delicious meals in savanna. But that was it. Tents are great: clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, hot shower is available 24/7, electricity, wi-fi, drinking water. Just anything you may need will be here. If the weather allows, you can ask to make a fire in front of the tent and spend evening under the stars. Kobe Mara offers their own transportation and game drives (safaris) offers, make it more convenient as you do not need to book elsewhere. We had transfers to/from Nairobi and 2 safari drives with Matthew and Joshua. Great personalities and experience. We have seen most of the animals. And spent 2 unforgettable days. They also organised special event for us and other guests (during my birthday+other guest birthday). Which was so nice and amazing!
Finally, special thanks to the team we spent our time with. They are amazing! Sammy, Joshua and Kariya made it unforgettable and enjoyable time to...
Read moreI can’t overstate how incredible this place is. The majestic view truly immerses you in the essence of African wildlife and safari—it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews for this gem. Perhaps previous guests forgot to leave one, but I felt compelled to share my thoughts, especially since my partner, a huge believer in ratings, had doubts about coming here. While reviews might not be as prevalent in Africa, let me assure you: this place is undoubtedly underrated.
The beauty of the location is breathtaking, and the staff are exceptionally helpful and caring. We arrived late as this was a last-minute trip to Africa, connecting from a flight in Singapore. Unprepared and without dinner, we were amazed by the staff’s kindness—they cooked for us past 10 pm so we wouldn’t go to bed hungry. That level of service is rare and deeply appreciated.
If you’re staying in one of the tents and feel uneasy walking to the main house, the staff are always ready to protect and escort you. Their attentiveness and concern for guests’ comfort are unmatched.
Overall, we had an amazing time and would love to return with the rest of our family. The manager, the owner, and all the staff were superb. I have nothing negative to say—this place exceeded all expectations. Highly...
Read moreStayed here for 3 nights with my bf on safari. This place is magical - the staff cares so much, some of them are Masai. There is security. The tents open up to the land, you can see giraffes come through. We paid more to stay in the main house which is top tier (renovated), we didn't bring our shampoo and they did everything to go find some for us. Packed lunch, breakfast whenever our safari starts (they work around our schedule), and we paid extra for the delicious dinner - the chef basically cooked for us every day. WOW - you don't get this kind of personal service at a large hotel. At night we sat by the fire and learned about the culture from some of the staff who are extremely welcoming, kind, and joyful. For my first time in Kenya I am absolutely floored and touched by the welcoming, warm nature of this hotel. The service is truly 5/5. I don't think this is a 3-star hotel. Sure, there are no bath robes and it's not the JW Marriott, but this is probably the best nature experience you'll get with kind staff members who genuinely care. (They'll even make a fire for you). I hope to come back next year and bring my family. Truly a magical experience. Thanks to the manager of the Kobe Mara for...
