Maragateway Hotel & Resort — Hotel in Suswa ward

The Maragateway Hotel is a newly constructed hotel/restaurant in Suswa, about 60 km from Narok. We stayed at the hotel during the 'soft opening' prior to full completion of the hotel, so take that into consideration. The hotel has good security, with 24 hour guard service at the gate. Room amenities were basic (no TV while we were there) but improved daily (mirrors and mosquito netting were installed during our stay). The room was clean and the bedding/towels were of good quality. Management was interested in assuring we had a good stay.||One of the best parts of staying at the Maragateway is the coffee shop and bar. You can get a good espresso or cappuccino (really!) at the coffee shop and a decently priced beer or whiskey at their full bar. Breakfast is included - a variety of options are available and all servings are generous - no complaints! ||The staff are young, inexperienced, and apt to make mistakes with your order (take care that your meal preferences are understood) but they do try to please. The full menu wasn't available while we were there, but the steak fillet was good as were the chicken fajitas and tilapia. Can't say the same about the burger.||||The staff remembered our wedding anniversary with flowers and a congratulatory note - a nice touch that will long be remembered. We stayed there for a week and a half the services were excellent with good customer service. The meals was freshly cooked and was very delicious. They have the best chefs. The rooms were very nice and clean so comfortable. We were supplied with warm water and all our demands met. We actually enjoyed our stay at the hotel its one in a lifetime experience. I would visit there again it has a wonderful section where kids can play and enjoy themselves. The resort is just right at the entrance of Suswa town if approaching from Nairobi and is a walking distance of about 30 mins from the SGR terminus.

The hotel has a moderately priced menu with no meal crossing Ksh. 1000 and accommodation is either a standard room or a deluxe room with breakfast included at either 2000 or 3500 respectively. I didn't get to tour the rooms, but if the ambience of the hotel is anything to go by... Then the room might just be okay.

The hotel has a restaurant with a bar and offers good customer service, something that stood out for me while I was there.

It's a good place to go to especially if you want the peace and tranquility of the country side.
