Finch Hattons Luxury Camp — Hotel in Taita–Taveta

Wow Wow Wow!!! We have stayed at so many luxury resorts. We always had our top 2 that it would be really hard for other places to beat them which were the Intercontinental Thalasso and the Intercontinental Maldives. Until we came here… Finch Hattons have changed our mind since day1. Each day got even better! Day3, Finch Hattons had become our number 1 top notch destination! Your staff has made our journey to be the most memorable and incredible throughout the entire stay. We stayed for 7 days at the President Suite. Julius picked us up and started the Safari right away while driving back to the resort. And continued educating us until the moment before we got on the plane. He’s so knowledgeable and has taught us about wildlife here so much! He also makes sure of our safety and cleanliness. The whole staff is so well organized that they know what we like to drink and Julius has all drinks for us while Safari. Not only him, but the Yoga instructor as well. He prepared the juice we like daily. I had a private Yoga everyday during the stay anytime I requested. Harrison is one of the best Yoga Instructors I’ve ever worked with!!! The food service staff spoiled us so much! They set up private lunch and dinner for us. My husband and my son are picky with food. The chef will make everything they ask for! And they remembered what we usually drink or order for breakfast!!! Felix and Joseph always welcomed us warmly ensuring our drinks were never empty and all our needs were met. Our room service, Robert and Justus made us feel like we were at home! They make sure every time we go back to the suite, everything looks perfect. Thank you so much for taking care of our laundry! You both have made this journey so incredible too❤️ Security staff, thank you for keeping us feel safe! They always walked us to the room after dinner. One in the front and one behind us to make sure our safety! The managers, Jonathan and William were always so hospitable each day!! They make sure we have everything we need! Very well organized!!! EPITOME OF LUXURY

I’ve travelled all over the world but rarely I have enjoyed a place so above the expectations like Finch Hattons.

The location is in the heart of Tsavo West and to say that it is stunning it’s a downgrading.

Starting from the wonderful restaurant area with view over a delightful pond, the spa with the infinity pool and a yoga room with the most amazing view, the lounge area and top of the top the “tents” that are the epitome of luxury. Each one with a breathtaking view of the pond (where you can see crocs, hippos and tens of birds and mammals coming to drink) and a wonderful taste of furniture where the top is the copper freestanding bathtub.

The food is delicious and shows a great attention, so the incomparable service of all the staff. Our thanks to Oscar, our personal waiter, and his friendly professionality always with a smile.

About game drives, in Tsavo is quite difficult to see cats (while there are plenty of elephants, zebras, giraffes) due to the environment but the knowledge and passion of our guide Matthew made the experience memorable. I would have never ended to listen to his stories of the bush.

The extra activities (all included) have been the cherry on the cake. From the breakfast in the bush to the aperitif at sunset with the “Masai Olympics” that has been not only a top luxury experience but also a super funny one thanks also to Isaac and his entertaining spirit.

We think that Virgin Limited Collection did a great deal picking this African gem in its list of top accommodations...

I am writing to express my appreciation for the quality of service they offered me and my beloved wife the days (20th – 23th September 021) of our stay at the Finch Hattons Camp.

Thank you so much for contributing immensely to the joy and excitement of our holiday to mark my 50th birthday. All the entire staff including the Manager really filled our heart with smiles with their warm hospitality and breathtaking generosity.

Every staff member with whom we came in contact was attentive, kind and professional including receptionists, room service staff, the pool & spa attendant, our game guide also the restaurant management and especially the Manager.

The memories of their gracious welcome and reception shall never depart from our minds. We valued that effort, how impressive and gracious and how greatly we appreciate everything that the entire team did for us.
