I stayed overnight while in transit and have mixed feelings about the place. I really wanted to love it. We were a family of four including a teenager and a toddler. While it is a decent place for a transit, my family felt it was not worth the money we paid for it.|The pool was a decent size for exercise and luxury and that was the best part. However, the water was not completely clear when we got there though not totally dirty. Just felt used. The toddler enjoyed the decent sized baby pool and it had safety rails which was excellent.|For our size of the family, the tent proved to be a little snug. Though for a couple it would be an adequate size. I did get a little claustrophobic in the one I saw and so we opted for the apartments.|The furniture in the apartments are well worn, there is no fridge there so the yoghurts I had carried for my child went bad. I saw fridges in the tent though... the apartment was decently clean and they provided basic shower facilities including shower caps which was nice. However, the bathtub in the master bedroom had no stopper so we could not use the bath, the shower head sprayed water all over and without a shower curtain this was not practical and so we all ended up using the one common shower which I must admit was good enough, good pressure and volume of water. There was also adequate hot water.|The room temperature was however a problem. The fans were not strong enough and given the kids needed silence i had to switch them off. We all slept with the doors wise open and the corridor fan on. It was not a comfortable night due to this but manageable.|The tv had limited channels and the toddler had nothing to watch. They are the old kind so some static was present. The wifi was however great so fortunately we could stream our other gadgets.|Food was basic and ok. Loved their vegetable soup. Made fresh. Not too much to say here as this was not a key focus area of mine.|Overall, the facility could use some renovation. Staff were great at responding to requests and the management was veru warm and accommodating. For one night its great but don't expect too much entertainment thereafter. Especially if...

This facility was probably good at some point in the distant past. After that, nothing has really been made to maintain, manage, or keep it to the same standards that it seems it once had. The only two things that it has going is the big swimming pool and one of the staff, who was very charming. Before booking I read somewhere that the tents are better than the apartments. However, after seeing both, we opted for one of the 'en-suite' rooms in the apartments. The room was at best OK, but the signs of poor maintenance were everywhere: dusty window panes, stains, mangled electric cables, etc. It seems that the cleaning staff just make the bed and that's all the cleaning there is. However, the bed was comfortable enough to sleep in. Not that you would need any in the hot Voi weather, but there was no hot shower as I was told by the receptionist/waiter/administrator. At some point there was no water at all. Turned out the tank was empty and we were expected to report it, which I understand, but why wait until the tank is empty? The breakfast next morning was some deep fried dices of potatoes, an over-fried small sausage, and tea or coffee from a Nescafe dispenser, which you had to go get yourself. I declined the offer for an omelet, which meant that's all I had to eat. There wasn't even bread. ||This place is not worth what you will pay for and you should only stay here if the swimming pool is all that are you looking for. Otherwise, it is a total rip off. You are way better off elsewhere. Do some research and find...

We received a very friendly reception bu the owner/manager. After that it all went downhill.|There is one house divided in two equal parts with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, toilet, living space with TV and table with 4 chairs. At first glance we thought the place was quite big for what we paid... |Rooms: the beds and mattresses should be replaced asap, no airconditioning in the rooms although temperatures were in the high 30°C, mosquito nets on the bed are old and have holes in it. There is "natural airconditioning in the rooms|Bathroom: the bathroom door was probably found in a scrap yard and placed in the opening between haal and shower, the keys of the bathroom door were an invitation to get tetanus, curtain torn,...|Living area: when we asked for a refrigerator, we were provided one. No airconditioning what made the place hotter in the evening and night than the outside seating area.|Bar: be sure to ask for COLD beer twice to get a cold one. When we asked for an ice bucket to keep the bottles cold, we were provided an ice bucket with 5 (five) ice cubes...|Breakfast: coffee, tea, fruit, toast and eggs were the best things you can eat here.|Dinner: do not go for the buffet! The food is served "au bain marie" but I think the water is kept in the water bath for several days; the food is lukewarm at the most. Beef stew is chewy, fries are only half fried, sausages are airfried and dry. We asked for a ham and cheese toast but it was served cold...|Please check the pictures to avoid booking...

Value for money and given it’s place near the voi gate. Prefect for sleep over during Tsavo east safari tours. The tents were as good as advertised. Dining hall needs updating but the food was prefect. If things go as there are I expect great things to happen here. Its a nice place per se but not there service left a lot to be desired. I stayed for one night to try and find a better place inside the park given my sudden arrival in the area from Nairobi. Side note: Be careful about the billing after dinner the close the books and you cannot order any more so make all drink orders

Had a good experience. However, some things needs to improve... The swimming pool was very dirty. There were too many houseflies and we couldn't enjoy our food at peace. But this is a good place to relax, located outside Voi town, with a memorable tenting experience

This is a very old place. If you like silence and the trees and serenity then this is the place.. The swimming pool is charged at 500kenya shillings For visiting clients... There are two types of rooms.. the tented rooms and the indoors rooms.. prices vary.
