Boutique Hotel Nyumbani Tembo — Hotel in Watamu ward

My aunt, cousin, and I stayed at Nyumbani Tembo for a week. In this COVID era, the hotel has taken the necessary precautionary measures, social distancing, provision of water and soap to wash our hands, the mask on policy, and sanitizers as well. We really enjoyed our stay the rooms were well kept, clean and tidy, staff friendly and super helpful, the chef was on fleek preparing delicious meals. The lovely pool always kept clean. Thanks a lot to all staff: Dickson, George, Nico, the housekeeping lady, and the managers Fausto and Francesca who made our stay such a delight. Would definitely recommend anyone to visit this hotel, the beach is just a stone throw away btw for the beach walks. We booked this hotel kind of randomly the day before following the nice reviews we saw here and we were so happy that we did it! The house is really gorgeous, rooms and cleanliness are perfect, the food was absolutely top notch and reasonably priced. Also being 5 minutes away walking to the beach is a major pro! It felt like a homestay at a friends' place, you can tell that the people working there genuinely care about their guests and their needs. Rooms open out onto “relax” areas, with sofas, comfortable armchairs and reading material, so it’s more like a private stay in a very comfortable house than a hotel. Francesca is a charming hostess, always smiling and willing to help, enhancing the impression that you are a private guest in the house of a rich relative.|Food is very good and varied, staff are excellent and there is only one thing I would change: curtains in the bedroom should block out the light more efficiently .But this is a minor comment that doesn’t in any way detract from the excellence of this Boutique Hotel.
