Pros||1. Beautifully built hotel||2. It’s right on the beach ||3. The breakfast is decent ||4. The rooms are clean||5. The receptionist is a really nice person ||Cons||1. It’s really far inside and the road is bad||2. If you plan on going to watamu or malindi to sight see, eat, excursions, etc It will cost you an arm and a leg because of the distance (and you will need to)||3. They have no entertainment considering how isolated they are, you literally have to entertain yourself. ||4. Their staff is a little clueless, and it lacks proper management ||5. The food is so bad, I don’t even know how else to put it||a. We ordered pilau and chicken curry and all we got was flavorless colored rice with chicken in tomato puree (and even this makes it sound decent)||6. They have nothing authentic to the coast (mahamri, biriyani, mbaazi, etc)||7. We had a couple water shortages…crazy! And we had to keep asking for extra linen as they weren’t replacing the ones they took||8. The food is really bad ‘emphasis’||9. We had a massage on the beach that was obviously done by the wait staff and receptionist, as they do not have an actual masseuse on hand…probably the worst Ksh. 7000 spent.||||Conclusion||The only way I would ever go back is if a well-known PROFESSIONAL hotel chain leased it out. It’s honestly a really beautiful hotel on a really nice private beach…but its completely run down and not anywhere worth its already discounted price. I never go out of my way to be mean, I just don’t want anyone else to waste their hard...
