Ocean View Nyali Boutique Hotel — Hotel in ziwa La Ng'ombe ward

The hotel is pretty nice. For $5500 a night(free breakfast), I got a single room (for me and my wife) with King bed, and the room was pretty spacious. Every room comes standard with a tv with netflix and youtube. The room came with a kitchen with a fully working stove/oven. The room was very clean, including the shower, but the pressure from the shower was low (half the holes on the shower head were clogged, but a toothpick solved this issue, thank God I am tall). There is wifi all over the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant but the service is slow. I stayed for 2 days and ate at the restaurant at least 4 times, and there was only one server who was very slow and a times seemed distracted. We ordered fish and it took over an hour. At one time we ordered room service and they promised us it would take 45 minutes but the food came after 2 hours and 20 minutes. So they definitely need to work on their service. The front desk, however, was good and was always apologetic for the restaurant's mistakes. The hotel is conveniently located near nyali Beach (about 5 min walk from the hotel). Also, the beach area is behind residential areas, so it was never crowded, which was good....

I wish there was a possibility of giving zero stars to this place. It was an awful experience. I contacted the hotel to tell them that we’d arrive late because of some traffic issues but they still cancelled our booking. I think they do that so that the guests have no chance of writing reviews on booking.com. ||||Anyway, we still checked in and wanted to take a shower but there was no water! I mean the taps were completely dry. After complaining, we got cold ocean water to shower with! They even offered to bring us water in a bucket 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️||||The shower boiler is a death trap. It sent fire sparks across the bathroom, I almost died of electrical shock! They do not care about the health and wellbeing of their guest. They just want money money money. ||||The insects 🐜 🕷 in that place were so many, I wondered how on earth that business is still running. We got itchy skin that affected us even weeks after our stays. They never apologised for those inconveniences. Please stay...
