At first glance, this hotel is a luxurious Gem. Until of course you visit in the summer and want a cool room. The aircons barely work. They seem to just waste electricity.
The owners are ok. We arrived a little late with no booking, were offered a few rooms and took the level 2 rooms, as they were larger and looked amazing.
We were stuck in the hotel on our last night due to a flood, and were offered a ride into the city. Of course, we thought this was an offer of good faith, but ended up costing 10 Euros 😂.
No room service.
No in room meals.
Breakfast very average.
Hospitality was ok. Pool was quite nice, but seemed like we were staying at someones house and paying to do so.
Not bad if you're ok with a warm room in the summer.
Response: No one said it wasn't a nice gesture, por nuk esht mik pritje shqiptari. Me mir mos na qonjit fare ose na ndihmonjit te therasim taksi me benzin/diesel sesa tna qonjit 3km per 10 euro. Nuk esht cdo gje tek paret. Esht princip.
Read moreHotel made mistakes and room was not fully clean. Hotel receptionist did not want to talk in English and could not find our room reservation. He showed us rooms with higher prices. After he made a phone call they found our reservation from booking.com but that twin-bed room in a separate building is closed due to water damages. Their mistake! We had to argue that we should not have to pay more for the other twin-bed room in the main building, and they reluctantly agreed. These problems gave me bad energy for the rest of my stay.
Room floor and furnitures were dusty, but we don't want to have to talk to hotel staff, we just wanted to sleep. Bathroom fan was loud and covered with dust. Bathroom fan is thankfully only turned on when you turn on the light in the bathroom. Bathroom could be improved. Room door's sound insulation is not good but we didn't notice any other guests at night so it was peaceful during the night. AC heating and cooling did not work, it only blows air. Cold pool. We didn't have time to try the jacuzzi. Otherwise things were OK / good. A restaurant is located nearby, not...
Read moreMy family decided to do a quick trip to Pristina Kosovo since we were visiting the north of Albania. |With a family of 10 I needed a few rooms at a decent price. I found Hotel ERA. The location was very close to downtown and it had a pool which was a plus when you travel with kids. It’s a family run hotel with very spacious rooms which included breakfast in the nightly rate. We ended us renting 3 rooms and my kids and my mother in law had the suite on the ground floor right outside the pool area. The owners were very nice and some of them spoke fluent English. This was a huge plus for me even-though my wife speaks Albania. |All the rooms were clean and other than a hot water issue (no cold water) which was fixed in less that 10 mins we had a great short stay. Also parking was available and free so that was also a big plus. |So if you are going to Pristina and need somewhere to stay that is close to down town stay at Hotel ERA. It’s not the Ritz but for Eastern Europe it’s great for someone from the US who is accustomed to having space in your room and a huge...
