Room for Improvement – Vegan Breakfast Options
If there’s one area for improvement, it would be to introduce more variety in breakfast options for vegans. While the food was fantastic overall, a few more plant-based choices would be greatly appreciated.

Read moreIt's been a while since i posted any substantial reviews, but after travelling to some new Countries i felt now was the right time to share.||I travelled to Kuwait for the first time with my family and stayed at the Safir hotel based in Fintas. It's about 25mins to the main City - so you need to understand that from the outset. Taxis are a struggle to get hold of in Kuwait, generally of low quality and expensive. There is no Uber, although Careem is available - but still slow and frustrating. It's unfortunate that the hotel itself does not have taxis on tap or affordable hotel cars to help their guest - like you will find in many hotels in say Dubai or Doha. I managed to keep the details of a couple of taxi drivers and used them mostly - not ideal but manageable. ||I stayed at Safir as it was quiet, a little further out and next to the sea. That did not disappoint, you will certainly appreciate the quietness. It was also so quiet at the hotel at this time of year that it was disconcerting! - so bear that in mind as my experience is based on a very relaxed time at the hotel.||I stayed in a sea-view two bed apartment which was a little on the cosy side and a little tired in decor and ambience. However, the foyer areas and general space throughout the hotel was great. Restaurant / breakfast area was decent and the views beautiful out to sea. The food was lovely with fresh omelettes being made and the waffles all excellent! Again, it was quiet and i didn't have to wait - but i had a great experience. Full marks here.||As it was quiet (note the theme) and there were few people, i had a lovey time with all staff helpful and courteous. Everything was clean and well managed. Tiny things they rectified quickly, even providing complimentary sweets – which was a nice touch. ||The proximity to the beach meant you could walk out to the sea in a couple of minutes - looking out to unspoilt coastline. This was wonderful, although the beach is a little unkempt and did have some rubbish littered.||I managed to get a good deal through Booking.com - and i feel the hotel was great value and would happily stay again - despite the challenges with travel and being a little further away. I think it's a good choice for families and couples alike looking for something different to full-on city rush and vibes. Everyone at the hotel treated us well, so thank you to everyone. ||I’ve given 4 stars, namely docked 1 star as the room was a little tired (but clean) and travel was terrible – with the hotel offering little assistance here apart from giving numbers of...
Read moreRamadan Ghabqa Buffet Review I recently booked a Ramadan Ghabqa buffet for five people at a cost of KD 9.900 per head, and, unfortunately, my overall experience was far from satisfactory. While the atmosphere was pleasant, especially given the charm of dining in an open area, several key factors left us disappointed.
First and foremost, the variety of food was extremely limited. The salad options were minimal, and the dessert section lacked the essential Kunafa dish, which is a staple for such occasions. To make matters worse, the desserts, such as mini cakes and gheemat, became hard and inedible due to the cold and windy outdoor conditions. Even the main dishes suffered; by the time we filled our plates and returned to our seats, the food had turned cold and lost its taste entirely.
There were also no juice options provided, just water and Arabic gahwa. Cold drinks were available, but not complimentary, which seemed unreasonable given the price of the buffet. The only redeeming culinary moments were the freshly made chicken shawarma and pasta, prepared upon request by the chef. Unfortunately, these two items were not enough to make up for the rest of the food’s mediocrity.
On a positive note, the atmosphere was enjoyable and offered a festive Ramadan vibe, but sadly, the quality of the buffet overshadowed this aspect. None of my family members appreciated the overall food experience, leaving us feeling like this was not worth the cost.
In conclusion, while the ambiance might appeal to some, the significant lack of quality and variety in the food left much to be desired. It’s not an experience I would recommend, especially...
