Read moreI don’t know why this guest house received so many 5 stars reviews….my Kyrgyz friends dropped me here at night and asked me how much I paid for a private room here. Then two of them got shocked, and said with this price (40€/night) I could surely book a proper hotel in Bishkek, other than this place. They also told me that this area is a terrible area in the city, rather poor, chaotic and remote from the center…This was true, because I had to fix my SIM card in the city center on the first day, and couldn’t use Yandex, so I decided to take the bus, which took me a long time. Also, after dinner, I went on a walk near the neighborhood, which made me feel uneasy and nervous. Another proof of this is that you don’t see many local people who are staying here, but you could meet many locals in some other hotels in the city. However, you can see the effort that the owner has put in to make it comfortable inside, with all those decorations and travel info. Breakfast was delicious. The staffs at the reception were quite helpful.
But still, rationally speaking, this place is overpriced. Btw, the room I got was different from the room I booked…which was wired and I only realized that after taking the shower, so didn’t ask for changing the...
Read moreGreat place to spend your first or last night while in Bishkek. We came there right after acclimatizing for several days in Ala Archa National Park and prior to mountaineering in Karakol. It’s a bit out of city’s main arteries but taxis come in no time so you get to wherever you want with no effort. I really appreciate the common area (cantina) where you can read, write, contemplate and have quiet time into late night hours. We were in no need for - but lots of people stopped by to pick up border permits here - so if this is of your interest - get in touch with them “sisters” 😊. Breakfast was great, property is clean and well-ran, AC gets cold 🥶. You can pay with soms, euro and dollars, cash or card. Tip for fellow backpackers: buy your camping gas here, if you’re in the hurry to get one and don’t have enough time to hit the city, just for...
