Through the 3-day Issyk Kul tour with Atlas Kg agency, we stayed a night at this yurt camp. I was very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed my short experience here.
When we arrived, the owner Balot welcomed us with a delicious compote and boorsok. We had a four course dinner, and a nice breakfast the next morning. The accommodation itself was very well maintained, clean and cozy. Each yurt has its own shower (with hot scalding water), and toilet, which were both very clean and new. It did get a bit chilly at night, but they provide a space heater, and outlet if you need to charge any devices before heading into more days of wilderness travel. You also get beautiful views of the lake and sunrise/sunset.
Would definitely recommend staying here for their hospitality, cleanliness,...
Read moreWhen we arrived we were welcomed with a drink. We had yurt number 8. In total there are 14 yurts and each has its own toilet/lavabo and a separate shower. It is outside the yurt but cleanliness is top. This also is true for the yurt itself. It has 4 beds, a ventilator and a heater. We didn’t need any of them. There are also sockets where you can charge your devices. In the evening a four course dinner is served. It was no plov but more “vol-au-vent” like and tasted good. During the dinner a performance was given by a local musician group. In the evening a head lamp is useful for reading or going out to the...
Read moreExcellent authentic yurt camp of 14 yurts. Little lack of imagination setting them up in two rows. But each yurt has its own toilet and shower that were fell fitted and spotlessly clean. These facilities are a few paces from the yurt but each yurt has its own. Proper wooden traditional construction (there are some metal framed yurt in other establishments) Food and service was very good. Short walk to the lake. You will need some water shoes as the shore is very rocky. Not well signposted, but Google maps location is accurate. Take a torch. Although there is electric lighting, the interior...
