Olimp Hotel and Restaurant — Hotel in Issyk-Kul Region

Olimp Hotel in Cholpon-Ata is absolutely beautiful! The location is good, offering stunning views. The hotel itself is well-maintained and elegant.

We booked a family room, and it was such a great experience. The room setup was perfect for us—a connected space with one double bed in one room and a lounge with two single beds in the other. Since we are a family of five, they added an extra bed for us, which was very convenient. The room also had a microwave, sink, and fridge, plus a Muslim shower (big plus point for us!).

For longer stays, this hotel is ideal—they have a laundry room so you can easily wash clothes, and a mini kitchen to heat up food. There’s also a prayer room, which is beautifully maintained.

In the basement, there’s a kids’ play area and games, and the restaurant area is so pretty—we enjoyed late-night coffee there. Breakfast was complimentary and absolutely delicious! Not too many dishes, but every item was worth trying—freshly baked pizza, chicken wings, juices, salads, and more.

I believe that they hotel is in the process of renovation. We had 1 twin and 1 double room booked and different floors. While one floor had a carpet, the other had a wooden flooring. ||Postive|Friendly staff. Beware SCAM!!! We spent 5 days in Olimp Hotel and ate at the restaurant. We collected the restaurant bills and tried paying at the last evening. The receptionist used an orange card reading device to process the payment, which didn’t work two times. We entered the PIN code, but the machine said declined. We then used another black terminal, which successfully processed the payment. Two days later we checked our bank account and saw that the due amount was charged THREE times from our card. We then e-mailed, texted and called the hotel several times. The receptionist and also the manager promised to take care of this matter but until now nothing happened. They do not seem to work on the problem, because they keep asking for more time. I believe they try to hide and do not want to refund our money.
