My hotel Karakol is a bit outside of Karakol in a very calm area. The hotel looks very nice and elegant from the outside and also the garden is very beautiful. Inside the hotel, everything looks nice at first sight but the walls between rooms are so thin that a normal conversation is apparently enough to be recognized in the next room. The rooms are spacious but have very small toilets. Everything in there seems very cheap and poorly decorated although there is so much potential. What caught us by surprise was the fact that no water bottles were provided (inna country where even the locals mostly do not consider drinking the tab water). There was even a sign that one was not allowed to take the water from the breakfast room, however, to be fair, we asked for it and they reluctantly agreed. There were other guests complaining about that as well. At some point the water in the breakfast room was empty and a day later still the same. We intervened and asked for water and it turned out they did not have any more of it. In addition, we noticed a dirty baby seat from the day before that was not cleaned at all. We informed staff and they cleaned it, but all those things add up in the end and overall, and considering we stayed in many different hotels in Kyrgyzstan, I would not recommend...
Read moreThe hotel was less than mediocre. First off there was a Russian receptionist when we checked in that was pretty rude and unfriendly, she treats us like customers not guests. No elevator, we had to go up to our rooms with our luggage with no help at all. I can barely walk 4 steps in my room and the bathroom was so tight and cramped. There was no air conditioning system, we had to open the windows which was very unpleasant. There were no cups, no complimentary water bottles or even coffee and tea bags. Now comes the breakfast which is highly important in a hotel experience, we always found the tables dirty, food selection was very limited and old, the waiter had the worst attitude and the lowest effort, you even had to buy the supposedly complimentary stuff like water bottles and coffee from the waiter, let me not forget the bad music selection, blasting hiphop songs in the morning and playing NSFW music videos infront of my kid. This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve had, the only thing going on for this hotel was the kind kyrgyz female receptionist and...
Read moreHotel is very good but not happy with services. If you have baggage then there is no lift and no staff assistance. You have to carry your own bags from stairs. Also in room no complementary water, katte, tea, coffee, sugar. Also there are no shops nearby so either you buy everything from hotel or for water go to the restaurant everything. In my lifetime this is the first time I experience this. I stayed in My Hotel in Bishkek and the experience was totally different. There they provide everything in room ad well...
