The fact that Rosewood Luang Prabang could not find my valuable goods is unacceptable. It's been a while after my check-out and I haven't heard any Lost & Found news from the team. Guys... I'm pretty certain I left my heart & soul somewhere in the resort and you need to return them back to me please.
I traveled in early February from Ho Chi Minh city & transited in Bangkok, then time literally stopped the moment my feet were set on Luang Prabang soil. I was generously welcomed with cool fresh air & lovely warm hospitality.
Car passed by the beaaauuuutiful town before bringing me to the property. Slowly sat down in The Great House & ordered Laos beer with local sausage to enjoy my most relaxing check-in ever. They walked me through the cutest garden, crossed the Elephant bridge bar & followed a little babbling stream to get to the Riverside room.
The whimsical yet fascinating design is definitely what I live for: wooden tone, colorful & sophisticated artworks here & there, walking closet connected to fully equipped bathroom, SUPER COMFORTABLE bedding & linens (made me feel like a millionaire), wide open window & a small side door to an open living area.
Housekeeping team did an excellent job: they secretly observed my personal touches & organized the room exactly the way I wanted without asking (I’m pretty OCD in my living areas), turn down service with a mystery gift on my bed evert night, matchy Bluetooth speaker… I could not get enough of the room. Absolute worth value for money.
I think I gained 3,5kg after this trip just because the food was sooo good. Chilling weather made it even better… quick grabbed a Gold beer or a yummy Rim Khong cocktail on the way back, deliciousss grilled fish, tasty sour hot soup with steamed/sticky rice, I mean… What could you ask for more?
You can easily find What to do/Where to dine both at Concierge desk or rustic in-room Directory. Complimentary shuttle bus to town & stylish bicycle are great addition to the stay. Exclusive location is what I love about this place: not too centered not too far, the nature in & surroundings..
Sense spa is located deeper in a small path, and you must come here. Imagine you get massage while watching the stream underneath.. listening to the real waterfall & relaxing full body. Absolutely enjoyed my treatment.
What made me truly feel this resort like at home is hands down: the people. I felt like home when I first came & I still felt like home when I left. Adrien, Ott, Max, Lee, Oue Lao, Chan, Noy and many more familiar faces but I could not remember your name: I’m sorry… They are kind, gentle, thoughtful, loving, funny.. and most importantly, they are genuine.
Definitely recommend to everyone.. and Yes, I will come back.. To...

Read moreWe had arrived in Laos in the midst of Lao New Year and on the way from the airport our car was frequently hosed with water, or sprayed by playful local children with water pistols, as is the traditional cleansing ritual associated with the New Year. On arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by the charming general manager Adrien, and were offered a welcome drink as we settled into the comfortable loungers overlooking the pool and waterfalls to complete the check-in process. ||The hotel itself was fantastic. Upon entering our room, we were greeted by a hand-written note and a complimentary bottle of wine to help us start our honeymoon off on the right foot. We had a river view suite, which was spacious, as well as beautifully and tastefully decorated. The gifts became a nightly theme, which arrived with the turndown service. From hand-made coasters made by the local hearing impaired charity, to pottery elephants made by local indigenous tribes.||The staff at the Rosewood were exceptionally helpful with recommendations and assistance booking restaurants. One of the staff, Tee was particularly helpful and got to know our preferences for cuisine and sightseeing and we loved having daily conversations with him about our day’s outings and plans for the next day.||The hotel has beautiful gardens with a river and waterfall. A small, but big enough infinity pool to cool yourself in, and offers fantastic spa treatments in peaceful rooms above the river.||Our last evening ended with dinner at the hotel with a traditional Laotian hotpot. A bucket of red, glowing charcoals was brought to the table, topped by a terracotta pot of steaming homemade broth. As assortment of meats - buffalo, chicken, tilapia, and pork - were brought to the table, along with a huge bowl of fresh vegetables, a lot grown in the hotel’s own kitchen garden. Our server, Ong, expertly cooked, served and chatted throughout this delightful bookend to our trip to Laos. ||The evening ended, as the previous nights had done, in the beautiful, Elephant bar. Its stunning setting above the river is only improved by trying to guess how many elephants there are in the bar.||All in all, exceptional hotel with great staff in a...
