Okay, so the Helmi was booked for me as part of a solo cycling tour. |The hotel is spotless and has nice features like a chilled water cooler in the hall and a coffee/tea setup in the room- a feature much appreciated and not common in the Baltics. Good wifi, a comfortable bed, and a good shower. |I had an excellent meal in the cafe. Prices are quite reasonable, and all the staff are helpful and friendly. |But, especially one. I wanted breakfast early, since I had a long cycling day the next morning. The manager sent her husband, Maris, and he cooked a huge made-to-order omelette, but also gave very valuable advice about my route. |Fast forward an hour, and I'm cycling to Igate on his recommended route when he passes me in his car and pulls over. We travelled with two kids and got the junior suite which was just great.
