Bīriņu Pils — Hotel in undefined

Aug 31, 2002 we had part of our wedding celebration here. We recently came back and stayed overnight and had dinner with family to celebrate our 20th anniversary.

Unfortunately, the dinner we had at the restaurant was NOT good. Actually the food was gourmet but the service was lousy — half the people didn't get their food until the other half had already finished and had their plates cleared. The waitress had a poor attitude too (I expect more when I'm spending hundreds of euros). Anyway it dampened an otherwise nostalgic experience.

It does have a picturesque setting, but I can’t recommend...

Beautiful Latvian castle. Not in the middle age Knight style with a bridge. But more like the house of a lord and lady, a wealthy couple it must have been. Many houses on the Estate are renovated and look amazing. There is also a stable with a few horses and some rabbits. Also a nice climbing rack and a slide for thr kids.

Then: do eat in the restaurant (or outside) as it taste very good indeed. Free parking. And free entry, if you have a restaurant...

One of the places you must to visit or stay in Latvia :) Beautiful manor with long and interesting history. 17. century Architectuaral mounument what is still saved till this day. Very beautiful interior, especially tha main stairs in a hall. All manor complex is well maintained, beautiful garden and park. Also there is a restaurant.
