Grill House & Hotel Pernigele — Hotel in undefined

My wife and I decided to drive out of the city for a nice quiet meal. I had this restaurant marked on my map for some time, so I decided to visit. Finding it might be a bit tricky if this is your first time in the area - it is not right beside the highway. After a literal minute drive off the highway, you will be in the spacious parking lot. It is located on a very nice piece of real estate. They have lots of outdoor seating and a play area for the kids. There is a small pond nearby as well. When we entered, we were greeted by their friendly staff, and after a little walk around their seating areas, decided to sit indoors by the door. Their menu choices offer a nice selection, and of course, great meat cuts hard to find even in Riga. We started with a few drinks and their foccacia bread - very nice. My wife had the Brisket while I had the Picanha cut. These were both delicious and cooked perfectly 👌. This was the first time I had this cut and loved it. I will say that it may not be for everyone with a thick outer fat strip. It was seared nicely to give it a great taste. Just a small note, try to grab the seats with the cushions. The rustic flat board seats may be a bit uncomfortable to some. Our waitress was very nice and did her best to answer our questions. Thank you very much for a great meal, and maybe we'll look at an overnight...

DISGUSTING food, SHOCKING insults from the owner.

I was served a soggy burger soaking and dripping in a weird sauce, with wilty lettuce that was poorly presented with a broken brioche bun.

I took only two bites out of the burger before deciding that I couldn't accept it. A few minutes later I began sweating and became very unwell. When I politely explained everything and sent it back, I was met with loud insults by the manager right on the dining floor in front of all other guests. They even refused to take it off the bill even though they took it back.

I have never been humiliated like this in public which will hurt for a long time...

This is a place where I felt like they have awaited for us. Oh boy! That was a trip in a maze of flavours and textures! I could not say that unexpected, but still amaizing. Large dish with excelent choice of meat. The texture and consistence... it was a roast, that was so well prepared that it started to dissolve by touching and melted as soon as I got it in mouth. Accompanied with nice red wine. BUT wait!!! In case you thought that was it, no no no... We tried a well prepared cocktails, that was just to get ready for a desert. And on the moment when I tried the mixture consisting of warm chocolate cake with ice cream and fresh cherry jam. All I can say... YOU NAILED IT! This a place where I would like to...
