If you've ever thought to yourself, "I really want to go back in time to Soviet times" - first, perhaps you should get off TripAdvisor and seek professional help, there's nothing good about those times that isn't a lot better now... Second, if you don't believe me, book a stay at Motel Akva. ||Oh, never mind, don't bother booking, because it's not like they actually check the bookings and just look at you funny when you explain you have a reservation. ||The rooms are basically straight out of a soviet era snuff film, complete with a clear scent of having been smoked in heavily in the past; oh, and flies. So many flies. No air conditioning, naturally, though they do advertise cable TV and free WiFi (neither of which I tested). There are fridges in the rooms, but they aren't on, so will take longer than my stay to actually be of use. Perhaps if they'd checked the bookings, they'd turn them on in time?
