Lauku viesnīca "Jumurdas muiža" — Hotel in undefined

My husband and I recently had our wedding in Jumurdas Muiza. A real two day Latvian/Russian wedding. I can say without hesitation that those were the two best days of my life. ||Anita - owner of Jumurdas Muiza - is extremely accommodating and helpful. She went out of her way to treat us like family. The food was excellent, the local beer was delicious, the staff was super friendly and helpful. ||The hotel premises themselves are clean, cosy and historic. It smells of fresh wood and nature. The scenery is incredible - huge park with a volley ball court and plenty of lawn for games. A huge lake with a romantic island in the middle (boats are available for exploration). There's a great Latvian sauna and Anita can help you get a real sauna master who will teach you how to enjoy it correctly. ||There aren't enough positive words to describe this beautiful place in the country side. We will be coming back as often as possible, if only to breath the fresh air and take a long stroll around the lake. ||10 stars!!!!!...

Jumurdas manor is located in the very beatiful place, near the lake. It has big territory, well maintained lawn, long lake coast. There you can also find a big sauna house where you can play pool or table tennis. The downside was our room which was cold and too much humidity. The door in the room was creaking. My friends celebrated their wedding there the other weekend. Did not expect much as the road there was partly in gravel and not in the best conditions. But what a place! New (rebuilt) premises that can host 80 people easily, good catering, fresh rooms, lot of lawn and big trees, lake, playground for kids, sporting facilities, separate sauna house, etc....
