There is no need for TV in this hotel/manor. All year around there was many things to enjoy: in winter best was pool and massage trestment, in spring I enjoyed walking and exoloring nearby community of forest, bird songs and even orthodox church.||||I have been here 3 times in last 13 years and service leven have been kept or even better every time. This time my lagguage was carried to the room by the Chef, doors for big baby trolley was opened by waiter. And waiter Maris is one of the reason to visit this place. He knows how to make to relax: he was appointing private room for dinner and breakfast for me and my 6 month old baby girl so we can enjoy mealtimes, keeping attention by serving everything in time and was very nice at conversations. By the way, he is here for 12 years and you can feel his professionality in every step.||||Here I enjoyed most of latvian specialities: fish (store) was excellent, cold meet (aukstā gaļa) for breakfast they make themselves, curd with sour cream (biezpiens) is on of best I have eaten lately.||||Recommendation. If you visit this place with small kids and want to use pool&spa, book SPA house which is separate building and you do not need to cross courtyard to come...
Read moreI have no words The rooms: as soon as we went in, they were freezing cold… floors were dusty and if you look at the visible crevices, they were dirty and VERY dusty. The ventilator in the bathroom was visibly not cleaned, dusty as well. The shower, standing in 5cm water was not fun because it was clogged. Anyone else notice a bench?? In the bathroom? At least it was like that in my room. It’s not relevant to the quality of the bathroom but it’s strange. Also, the design is just, strange. Though, the room is big and it’s not cramped. The stairs to go up to the rooms are terrible… so slippery and there are dents/bumps in them because of the amount of people that have walked on the stairs. There is a cat, Blueberry is it’s name. It was walking on the eating tables. Which wasn’t good to see, knowing that it is an outside cat. I cannot argue about the fact that it was sweet but that’s just not acceptable. The hotel itself was clean, but not the rooms, I figured it was to create a good impression until you walked into the space you will be sleeping in for a night or more. The people I was travelling with also had a bad experience with the rooms. The price didn’t match...
Read moreI stayed here from the 3rd to 4th of September, and Marcienas Muiža & SPA is truly a hidden gem.
The manor has a rare charm—surrounded by nature, filled with history, and carrying a peaceful energy that makes you feel restored the moment you arrive. Walking through the park and simply being in this atmosphere already feels like therapy for body and mind.
During my stay, I saw a wedding celebration taking place here, and it was clear why couples choose this venue—it’s elegant, romantic, and full of character. This place feels perfect not only for relaxation but also for life’s most special moments.
The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, which added to the warmth of the whole experience. I couldn’t try all the spa and water activities this time, but I will definitely return to enjoy them fully.
For me, this manor is more than just a hotel—it’s a place that touches people emotionally, creates memories, and has the potential to grow into something even greater...
