Mazais Ansis — Hotel in undefined

Went here for a romantic dinner with my partner after a hike in Mazsalaca forest trail. We were pleasantly suprised with the experience we had here! We didn't stay in the rooms, but had the most pleasant dining experience - delicious and affordable food, excellent garden wine and a gorgeous view of the lake.

The food was made with fresh ingredients, and I can't explain enough of how much I fell in love with the local red house wine they serve there - it was exquisite! And the friendly waiter even told us more of where the wine is made and the name of the local brewery that we will definitely check out.

We dined outside on the terrace and since it was quite chilly, the waitress even offered us blankets and turned on an infrared lamp to keep us warm and toasty.

Went there for a lunch, but left only having coffee. We were waiting around 10min - in that time menu was not brought. Got coffee inside and took menus ourselves. They said that it will be around 20min wait to prepare order. We were fine with that, but trick was that nobody came to take an order. Waited quite long, finished our coffees, still no orders taken. We decided to eat somewhere else, where you actually get food. Coffee was reasonably fine though. I have to agree that place was a bit busy, but still - there were people who came after us and not sure why were served with menus before us, also order was taken before us as our was not taken at all. We sat in the terrace with hopes to have some drinks in their beautiful location but the only thing we found was a rude waitress who only kept putting a disgusting face at us the whole time.||We said that we only wanted to have some drinks and didn’t want to order anything to eat but she insisted in giving us the menu in bad ways.||Then we asked if she had cocacola zero which she said no and she went away.|Another waitress came (this one much nicer) who mentioned that they DID have coke zero.||Everything went nice from this moment on but you have to be lucky to find a nice waitress. I guess it’s a nice place to be at if you’re local but...
